Damn, how old is Hammer. Life treating him good. MC Hammer one of the hardest ni99as out the Bay. Always had hands and shooters on deck just in case, yet well spoken, respectable, and always clean. A living legend.
Tupac wrote the song & recorded a reference track for Hammer. It was supposed to be Hammer's song, written by Tupac. Same thing with the song Too Tight - you can look it up on here
For all you youngsters out there, I kinda tear up because in the 90s, MC Hammer was the KING in those days! This man obviously had the money[AND LOST IT], but he had the endorsements (and rappers were hating), cereal, commercials, Saturday cartoon show, toys, videos, SIGNATURE DANCES, signature clothing, reality show on VH1[latter], etc. Glad to see him back in the game. Hope nothing but the best!
2 confirmed songs Tupac wrote for Hammer were ''Unconditional Love'' & an unreleased song called ''Too Tight'', he also done features on MC Hammer songs from the Death Row days. One of the songs being ''Too Late Playa'' featuring 2Pac, Big Daddy Kane, Danny Boy & Nutt-So.
Hammer is a legend. All these rappers that were hating on him and trying to tear him down, he showed back nothing but love. He used to be about that life too he could have retaliated, but nothing but positive energy from him.
he did do it... there's a version of it out there..I'm sure it's on youtube (if u just type in Unconditional Love Hammer Version, it shud come up)... But he didn't "officially" release it if that's what u meant...
Hammer kept his self love, I know it was GEM to collect good thoughts with PAC. Hammer legacy will continue to strive. Smart Black man. Regardless of death row demise.
The man doesnt get the level of respect he deserves from alot of hip hop fans ....veiwed as a gimmick yet he was one of thw realest! Much respect since bitd for Hammer and his contribution.
HAMMER WHERE THAT 2PAC TOO TIGHT DAT AT? WHEN U GON DROP IT? WE WAITIN ON IT I KNO U GOT IT THE ENGINEER SAID YOU THE ONE WITH THE ONLY COPY THE STREETS IS WAITING
Most comments are respectful of his class . Some are below his level of his intelligence. Bay area 75 to 90 all fun , most got along, form a friendship 🫰 that qwick. The best of times.
its just not meant to be for hammer, was supposed to re ignite his career in death row he would've been a nice little touch to death row but then in a matter of months it all fell apart, man it would've been legendary!
my recollections of the michael jackson mc hammer thing is back then for publicity for hammers new album hammer and his people put out a challenge to michael for a dance contest or dance off and michaels response was nothing he completely ignored it. i'm not buying mc hammers story i can't even find any evidence that they ever met or spoke to each other.
gg allin come on man gg allin, hammer was on stage with Michael for the song Michael did live called "What More Can I Give" in the fur Coat.. look it up.. at the time they both were businessmen they let their music and dance moves showed their hearts, if you never been to the Bay area maybe you should go they got that pimp game. True hustlers
yeah there was tons of celebrities at what more can i give live, standing behind michael during the song including hammer in a fur coat yeah and? whats your point? you think everyone on that stage was michaels friend or something? that was just a bunch of celebs getting together for a good cause i doubt even michael knew who was on that stage that night. hammer isnt even on the what more can i give single that u can hear online, if anyone has any evidence hammer ever spoke to mj or met him please post of the evidence, especially since hes died all kinds of people have come forward saying this saying that about michael........
yeah they had difference styles though aye, hammer seems to of got his influences more from the street his dancing more like areobics more physical.michaels influence comes from the stage, more graceful, dancing on air, fred astaire and james brown, though i know mc hammer was pretty good at all the james brown stuff too.
Wow I'm just seeing this after seeing footage on 2pac dissing him ...I had to disagree with 2pac for the first time rip because If he was going say that mc hammer was playing the samboa act so is the gangster rap on mainstream media back then and if you went to far off the edge they would have done you like arsenal hall show back in the 90s when he went over the head of the Jewish media that his show was under bringing Louis Farrakhan on the show...but rip pac he still my number 1 artist
Tupac really wasn't dissing MC Hammer, he was highlighting that certain people are more likely to support a black person if that black person isn't attempting to improve the lives of other black people. Tupac was basically saying that they want black people to "shut up and dance" the same way they told LeBron to "shut up and dribble". Tupac just wanted MC Hammer to use his influence to make a difference, and MC Hammer understood that which is why the only Hip-Hop 50th Anniversary event MC Hammer went to was only to say how much he loved Tupac.
I never get tired of 2pac stories!

This guy is such a force. Great energy so dynamic. So much success and his character is still in check. He is much loved.
If M.C. Hammer and Michael Jackson was on tour together back in the day. That would be a very big payday my friend.
