      In 1919 France shut down the Germain newspaper etc and sent many back to Germany because they wanted a French speaking country. France is also a hypocritical country. Your right Charles de Gaulle stood here with his Vive le Quebec libre which we had to listen to for years. Its time to stop the transfer payments and let France pick up the slack.

  • @NequeNon
    @NequeNon 6 років тому +11

    National identity is about narratives, heck it IS a narrative. The idea that Quebec should separate denies the story of Canada: Quebec MADE Canada, it founded it, it made it, it’s Canada’s mother. The idea that it should separate is ridiculous.
    Scottish in Britain is not a template at all. Even the term “canadiens” was about French habitants in Quebec.
    Quebec’s problem is not Canada, it’s the effects of the silent revolution on its society. My beloved Québécois have lost some basic sense of their own identity/history and suffered mightily for it. This wasn’t Ottawa’s doing...
    Vive le Québec, la plus belle et la plus noble de toutes les provinces Canadiennes! Que Dieu bénisse ce berceau du Canada!

      Canada doesn't recognize us as a founding nation anymore since the Official Multiculturalism Act. We are only another cultural group in a diverse and plural Canada now. Quebec is and will be better if it stays with canada. Without Canada's help , quebec will need to choose its own monetary policy and currency among other issues. These parties only care about their money and salary and they are using peoples emotions in order to further their agenda. A great example of Canada's help to quebec is funding aerospace companies amongst others which almost went bankrupt. Without canadas name and money , foreign companies will not invest in quebec, so to all of you separatists, be thankful and happy that you're canadian, because without canada, you're nothing.

    • @WaheedQc
      @WaheedQc 7 років тому

      Canada cannot keep Quebec from using their currency and even if they could, they wouldn't because that would mean 25% of the canadian money supply for sale overnight. It's written Canada on our dollar bills, but the cash is ours... lol. And you have to be a damn fool to think that Canada does all this to help us.

They were, and are, the downfall of our province. I am constantly confronted and harrassed by "Quebecois" even though my family has been in Quebec since the 1600's.
