The call for prayer azan takes place 5 times a day (except on Friday adding 3calls) .It's all a patrimony in such a way that every mueuzen '' al muazzin in arabic"does it differently as regards to performance (voice...maqamat etc..) but the structure of content is the same throughout the muslim world shiiaa apart.,depending whether it is city or country , during the day or the night ..I remember the way it was done in my home village in late sixties and early seventies before introducing loudspeakers .It was just fabulous ! Christian Aswan occurs once a week, on Sundays only. Muslim azaan is chanted 5 times a day. I will suggest you listen to the azaan of Haram Sharif in Makkah where the Ka'alba is located.
