- Mudhol hounds trace their origin to north Karnataka. These dogs, with dangling ears and wide jaws, are known for their hunting and surveillance skills. They are equipped to handle hot weather and can run long distances. Many villagers in Mudhol are making money by breeding and selling these dogs. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced Rs5 crore for breeding and training the Mudhol hounds.

I wish there were a possibility to import some of them to the USA.
I saw them on a different video about a week ago and fell completely in love with them. I got a reply to my comment on what breed of dogs they were and I started researching.
I love them and will be working on getting some shipped to the U.S.
@@KeoniKoa keep me informed. I know the dogs have to be over 6 months old and have already had rabies shots 30 days prior to shipping out at 6 months old and they need two other immunization shots as well before they're allowed to be sent over to the US.

karvan hound from Maharashtra is faster and more agile than Mudhol hound but unfortunately MH government is doing nothing to protect this breed.

Please dont start keeping these dogs in urban city flat and room. These dogs are suitable for farm area or bunglow. They need a lot of workout in free space. They prone bone or arthritis issue if kept in small place or room.
