Your review is absolutely spot on. I first bought a 2ml sample and the first thing I picked out, after the dry down, was leather and rose....2 of my dreaded scents. However, like you said, the blend of all the scents together is superb and I found myself loving it so much that I did by a bottle. Matter of fact, I have to watch myself because I keep smelling my arm so much that it was starting to look weird. This Xerjoff blend is right up to my all time favorite, Naxos. Hard part is going to be deciding which one to wear.

I tried a sample . It is dark and mysterious and sexy frag. It is a mixture of “ portrait of a lady” with the rose and “ LV ombre “ . It’s nice . Has a Tom ford black orchid vibe to a lil. It’s a different scent but , I don’t think everyone can pull it off . I’m going to get a bottle for sure .

I ordered my monkey today:) So excited
Just received mine today! Was a blind buy, so I had to spray some on straight away, & boy does it hit! Felt probably a bit strong for a cool sunny Sunday afternoon, first impression was that it's more suited for a formal evening or special occasion because of how rich the scent is.
Went for a ride on my bike & could smell it wafting while I was going 100km/h down the freeway, while imaginary doomy guitar riffs played in my head, tempting me to push over the speed limit. Made me want to have other vehicles behind me so they can get a sniff of my scent trail... =P
OK, just made a completely accidental discovery yesterday at a local discount chemist. The Conqueror by Voyage Royal. 90% similarity for about a seventh of the price. Opening not as rich & smooth as Xerjoff, bit alcoholic maybe? But the dry down is pretty much almost identical I think. Check it out!

Xerjoff Tony Iommi is pure 🔥🔥🔥...I wear odyon intense scorpion coz I ❤...but my frankly "Montale Intense Cafe" is the real compliment puller

Got my bottle just a couple days ago. It's a delicious scent, but in my opinion the patchouli is a bit much. I think I'd enjoy it more if the scent profile was a little more even handed. The overall scent is also not quite as masculine as I would have anticipated. 4 out of 5 stars, but just a bit too heavy towards patchouli

I’ve seen people compare this to Oajan, Side Effect and Carlisle and I don’t think they’re similar at all.
To me, this is a boozy version of Dior’s Tabacolor. Funny enough, I rarely layer outside of molecule 01, but I do layer Tobacolor and Angel Share. Monkey Special is similar to that but less sweet.
I think Tony Iommi was presented with various formulations before having the final say.
He made a good choice!
I was feeling so connected w/ this fragrance as you’re describing it … until you said the word that just shut the door in my face - “Gourmand” 😩 “Caramel” 😭

Hi Troy - Apologies for a slightly off-topic question. What has been your experience with Roi Sans Equipage so far? I watched your video on the in-store experience at HJ and am thinking of getting a bottle.

The Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey = Exactly Montale Intense Cafe. I have both. And its way less expensive.
Does this have performance, longevity, silage and projection? Tired of spending hundreds of dollars on niche fragrances that only last a few hours on skin..
Get a sample. Try it on your skin.
@@TroyD247Mall idk what it is but fragrances just dont last on my skin i tried lotion and still doesn't change performance at all.. it sucks because i smell fragrances on other people just nobody ever smells it on me nor can i smell it on myself..
I doubt this xerjoff is worth 500$ though lets be honest.. its not ground breaking.. i bet it smells great 👍..

@@cryptonator1988 spray on clothes as well as skin brother. I have given up wondering why fragrances don’t last 10 hours only on my skin and now I always spray a couple sprays on clothes and now I smell all my scents all day. Find a combo of skin/clothes sprays that works for you and you’ll be set!
Does the boozy note last long? Does it last through the drydown? Or it just the top note?

Iommi ans oajan are not on the same way but oajan is the clone of ambre narguilé (Guerlain)
