@@jons.6216... Christine has been asked about the resemblance but indicated she didn't start acting until high school--in plays and doing other newbie type roles locally in upstate NY. Tom Hanks' wife played cheerleader Pat Conway on the BB, though. It was her first acting role.
I love this show because these kids always come up with the crazy’s ideas and they always are doing something funny I love watching this show it is appointment for all ages kids and adults a like I wish there were more tv show like the Brady bunch
I know the first season they dyed all the guy’s hair nearly black to make them look more alike. Florence Henderson had a platinum wig that year and they dyed Susan oleson’s hair to match.
This was probably her biggest one, since now they have a big house. Also, Jan and Cindy were probably a little young for a middle school girls party until now.
For a time, the girls didn't have a father in the picture, and so Carol was in no frame of mind to be prepping for and then hosting a party alone. Single parenting makes even ordinary activities somewhat more difficult to manage.
While it was revealed that Mike was a widower, nothing was ever said about the fate of Carol's first husband. I read that the implication was that she was divorced, but the producers could not mention that due to the controversy of the time. (And when Marcia submitted Mike's name for "Father Of The Year", her letter did not mention anything about Carol's first husband dying). And, wow, unless it was off screen, the girls had nothing to do with their biological father.
Love Alice ❤

A young Christine Baransky was in it too as Paula.

All of us need an Alice in our lives!
Do they ever get any snack out of the fridge beside apples? 🤨
Back when everyone believed the saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”
I noticed in the older eps Barry Williams's hair looks very dark red, I wonder if that was the lighting or was his hair really that color

Barry you did that grils sleepover your tv sisters iching powder
I ❤ love the party
A thirteen year old with two sisters and a single mom probably would have had her first slumber party at 8 or 9 or 10. Maybe her real dad was a drunk?

A lot of girls had slumber parties for their birthdays. I'm glad Jan and Cindy attended!
.
Um, Mike...............you better retake your Ancient History class, the Romans ultimately did NOT survive the barbarians.
And they didn't have sugar to keep them going.
Spoiler: Jan wasn't invited.
Script is shameful. Not funny. Isn't that the idea of a comedy?
