One reason Thailand is so good is that it’s full of Thais and they protect their own interests. I’ve got nothing but respect for their nationalism and the way they protect their people and culture.
I lived with a Thai girl for 6 years while I lived in San Diego, California. She was a Northern Thai lady and we, along with Thai and Lao friends, all ate on the floor most days on a big mat. Yes, there several plates of food, and a LOT of rice in one big basket (steamed sticky rice). I was never happier and never healthier.
It’s not xenophobia normal Thais can’t book that accommodation either. Those are company owned properties for use by the employees and their families. Consider it a perk of working for the company along with subsidized staff canteens and medical care.
I stayed in one near Noc Island with Thai family. It would have been cheaper for me to stay at an expensive hotel right on the beach. I asked the hotel and more than 5 could stay in a room. Better for me. They barbecued at the house they rented and traveled a bit in the van that took us to booked house. I just ate at the hotel and drank beer near the beach. A lot of Thais travel in a van and book a house or a resort like this. I know, I went many times. I do not think farang travel in large groups nor would want to sleep together in the open like the Thai do.
Have you only just discovered that Thais block, or charge foriegners more in Thailand? It is everywhere. There was an incident in Phuket where a Thai was overcharged by a taxi driver. He was stood in the road shouting: But I'm Thai. But I'm Thai!! Get the picture?
Not the same boat but in England there are hotels / properties that provide halal food and the whole property is also " alcohol free " it doesnt surprise me that this village/resort is for Thai`s only , it is great to see the government catering for Thai`s only and is not ruled by farang money . You obviously have not stayed at any villages which are similar to this they do not have facilities such as restaurants or bars they are residential premises and nothing else. I have lived in two villages first one in Cha-Am the second one now is in Hua Hin fortunately a lady a few houses up has turned her carport into a small deli to provide for the local inhabitants , if it was not for her then we would have to leave the village and go to the local 7-Eleven or somewhere else.
love my gf and Thailand it is a beautiful country. but honestly all they do is eat do nothing else all day long everyday. and then they think im crazy for wanting to watch tv or sit in the sun or go in the pool. it really is so boring that's why id never live where im completely isolated i wouldn't cope.
People don’t live there. Those are villas that can be rented for the weekend and holiday periods. Nobody lives there full time. If anything that looks exactly what the housing in a gated community looks like where middle class Thais live. Peace and quiet, no packs of soi dogs, no vendors peddling their wares, no dek waen on motorcycles tearing up the neighborhood.
Please do not bring Harry to england. You know what people are going to call him, jokes, insults extc, extc. Dont bring him to racist, prejudist, hipocrat country and society.Let him live in there peacefully, respectfully and happily. All the best mate 👌👌
Oh Lordy. Typical Thai he says and he living in Thai land! You truly couldn’t make it up. And then he moans about no bars there just because he likes a good booze session whereas drinking isn’t really a part of Thai culture. He wants both his cake and to eat it ffs 🤦
@@drifter8800 Drinking is very much part of Thai culture but its not in bars and its mostly not beer .Its drinking cheap Thai whisky or rice wine and at each others homes or on the street .
I hope you enjoy this video. It is intended to be entertaining and informative. I wish to thank you all for your loyal support to the channel.

Thank you , my friend!

I just said that in the intro. It was meant as a bit of a joke!
Fantastic, this is a good place to bring the whole family under the same roof for a reasonable price as well.
Go into any small shop where items are not priced and there is a Thai price and a Farang price

It is a really relaxing place to stay.
Your little boy is 😎 cool !
This place is 3 star , not 4 star !
My head is here , when in the shower ...
Made my day , hahaha ......😂
Hi Dave. Your videos are very insightful. Wonder how Thais would like it if they were not allowed to own property in the west (e.g in US or UK).
LOVE your honesty in sharing the REAL Thai life - I liked and shared with a friend.
Thank you, much appreciated!
How could this man possibly be capable of showing the "REAL" Thai life??..he doesnt speak a word of Thai !
@@harveythompson1756 That's what you think. I can speak Thai.

Why is he wearing shoes inside , surly his mother would yak yak 😅
Walter white finally retired
You've been living in Thailand for too long. House is not that nice, just merely looks like they were trying a little harder than usual.
Are not 'invading the place' by just crossing he threshold ...and with a child wearing shoes??
Is harry short for his age? My daughter is six and 125cm
I meant to say 1 metre and 40 centimetres
An diesem Ort könnte man auch wilde Patys feiern 😅
