Good idea this will works during the day time. Before adding LED add 1v to 12v dc to dc step up booster chip, then add a battery then led. So that u can use it for day and night.
I saw a similar system 24 years ago, using a Solar Panel, a 12V Fluro Light, and a motorcycle battery, it was set up so they could run some light around their camp on a camping trip, the battery would eventually go flat if left on continuously.

@@RATsnak3 why do you call it physically impossible? He has two large solar cells directly solderd to the terminals of a motor, and it turns when there's light on it. The other motor is being driven by the one with the solar cells on it, and it is acting as a small generator to power a couple LEDs.

It's great but I think it will be a good idea to put a capacitor after the rectifier circuit .
Just getting into solar stuff and tryna convert solar into a lego power plug to power lego circuits for fun and possibly some other stuff and was wondering are capacitors necessary and why would you put them in a solar powered circuit?

First you dont need a full bridge rectifier because its bc not a bldc or some sort the voltage drop of the diodes are going to eliminate the voltage coming from the generator(DC motor) and why need a motor? Can you just use the solar panel itself??? The motors are going to be useleas

It appears to be a bridge rectifier, which turns AC into DC. I don't know why he's putting it in the circuit, since DC is what's coming out of his generator. Don't follow this guy's lead; he doesn't seem to know what he's doing.

What are the volts and amps of each motor and solar cells? Since the 2 solar cells sum in series is equal to the motor it's running then what is the imput/output for the second motor? Does it do any kind of DC voltage step up?

Those solar cells were wired in parallel, not series. If you were unable to recognize that, then you probably shouldn't be doing any work involving electricity.

You can do it without the bridge rectifier. Don't waste more energy with it because the output is already DC. Anyway, it's a good idea and nice trial 👍🏻
