There's something about letting the fish wriggle out of your hand back to it's home that's very satisfying. Thanks for all the videos (both action and tying) and tips.
Thanks for the video. If you're using weight, other weighted flies, what situations would you chose drop shot over a normal split shot set up.. Thanks very much !
@@rjf1877 cheech here, I’ll give you my opinion. If you’re going to use Splitshot, the drop shot rig is better because your fly drifts more freely in the water.
Another great video. Thanks. I was wondering what were the specific (length and thickness) terminal tackle (leader/sighter/tippet) Lance was using for those conditions. Again, great work, guys.
Hey Lance, I have the Umpqua overlook chest pack and notice you have a box on top of yours. Is that something you custom added or is it made for that pack?
I went to the Weber a few days ago and couldn’t achieve a slow drift until about 3/4 of the way through my drift... I put on heavier flys but would snag bottom?? Any tips?
@@FlyFishFood Thanks for the response.. Enjoy your videos, I've been fly fishing 40+ years and I've learned a lot from them, leader set ups and such.. Keep filming, I'll keep watching.
Uh, no. No such thing as a small finned grayling, and no grayling whatsoever in the river system you are fishing. Mountain whitefish (which is what that fish is) sometimes are incorrectly called grayling by some fishermen.
Wow man, just type in on google: are there grayling in the Provo River. They’ll tell you Arctic grayling live there. Do some research before making an ass out of yourself
What no questions for cheech? One token filming question . Everything for the lancer ! I got one , Y dont u ditch the raider garb for a winning team and maybe that will switch up the karma
I took a class with Lance. My 6 fish average went well above 12. Thanks for making my fishing life better!

Very GOOD video. I learned a lot. Thanks for all you do! Glad to have you and Devin and the others on Team USA representing us.
Great advice. Thank you for sharing your strategies while nymphing. Thank you for sharing and tight lines!
Lance is catching a fish every other cast - damn! 👏🏼👏🏼 What am I doing wrong?!?

Well Done! Great Video! Always good to see CHEECH in there! 😆😆😆
Lance Egan is the Chuck Norris of fly fishing.
We cannot deny that assessment. :)
what is that neat little fly box?
Thanks Guys , always funny stuff ! Have you guys ever fished NV Still Water ? Thinking of that next spring , Billy Shaw or ????
You guys way too much Fun and laughs fishing But then again Its better that way! FISH ON!!!!!
Have you ever caught a Mt Whitefish Lance? Just wondering😉
Hey Lance was that hopping caddis technique because the fast water between you and the rising fish? Or just something to use anytime caddis are out?

Another question: in the water you were fishing, were you feeling more strikes than you we're seeing?
So do you have to use a 3 wt fly rod?
“Small finned grayling” 😂 😂 😂 I’ll start calling them that too 😉 😉 😂
What setup are you using?
What is your camera and audio setup for filming?

Great question! I noticed that a while back and was curious as well. Hopefully he/they will respond.
It may be a c$f chest patch. Look it up.

If you are snaging that usualy means you are in the zone where fish are also use jigs becuse they ride hook point up
zi gi yeah I was using jigs. I was snagging constantly and losing fly after fly and only got 1 fish the whole night
@@ColtonMaxfieldBassin change the angle of the line with the water so you are leading the flies more
that is strange i rearly snag the bottom and i can feel my flies hitting rocks on the bottom perhaps it depands on the river you are fishing
I know this is old but hopefully will help some one.9 out of 10 times snagging you can get it loose by gently bringing your rod tip back up current
what reel is that and rod?
Cheech is fast into one!

Who makes the chest pack?
Sa Squash Umpqua. They just barely released the new model too. We have them at store.flyfishfood.com

walts never worked for me either
"Rare" small finned grayling??? It's a Rocky Mountain whitefish....not very rare.
mikejessmax 100% it was a grayling.

Grayling...LOL!
Lol, France fly is same way for me. Never catch shit on em
I wish they fought like grayling and not a freaking wet noodle....
A whitefish doesn’t fight hard????
Pretty tired of this Lance Egan guy catching 6" trout on that Frenchie. Maybe try diversifying your bonds, n....
j/k "working high to low" seems a really quality tip that I haven't heard anywhere else.
Still... diversify your bonds.
Jaimelapoesie I’ve seen his bonds. He doesn’t film all of his accounts.
