Good Job Joseph! Can you guys maybe pay more attention to audio in your next videos? It's difficult to understand with that noise in the background. I'm not a native listener.
100% correct we need to fix audio. Pls note this was my very first day ever shooting. Lol. So had the audio settings misconfigured and I now have lav mics. So pls bear with me, it took me a while to fix so more videos with bad audio but it's fixed now...
Thank you both. This was informative Brian, and Joseph. I am not currently making mobile games, even though one I worked on is still charting well. But rather, the user-acquisition strategies, in general, are of deep value. The two of you were clean, concise, and understandable. Kudos.
Amazing thanks! Can anyone explain for gaming industry outsider - what’s the difference between “social” and “networks” marketing? Sound like the same to me.
Hi Marina. I'm not 100% the context but usually the distinction is between performance marketing (marketing where you can measure effectiveness) vs. brand marketing (more traditional marketing). Maybe by Social, what could have been meant is marketing on social platforms. Or you may have heard SAN networks. SAN = self attributing network. That's where the ad network tells you how many installs they got for you. Facebook and Google are typical examples of what is meant by a SAN network.
Not a single piece of actual advice on how to acquire 40m users. But there is a lot of buzz terminology dumped into one interview. So...you’ve got that. 🤦♂️ The advice is “come up with creative ideas.” My god, thanks for stating the epitome of obvious.
1. Have a good IP 2. Analyze data and optimize game/creatives until CPI < LTV so it makes sense to spend money on advertising 3. Spend money efficiently on advertising (Facebook, Google UAC, Unity, TikTok etc)
Shout out and many thanks to Brian Sapp! If you're interested in key learnings about UA this is the video for you!
Soooo many valuable insights into Brian’s SOP, funnel and conceptual thinking process. Thanks for this!
Glad you found this useful! Thx Matt
