I'm, now wondering would you be able to get into the extract vehicle after triggering this? Could you come back as a traitor, and hero having completed the mission with the "5th" stratagem
It's crazy how a Super Destroyer will just unleash round after round of 300mm shots just to kill one guy for being outside the mission area for a few seconds, but when loyal Helldivers need it they put that shit on a long ass cooldown.

Ministery of War has less budget than the ministery of Truth.
If a loyal helldiver dies because of the long cooldown, that is the cost of the war, but if the crew let a traitor to live too long, they will face a serious consequences, wasting ammo on that traitor is a less serious crime against democracy.
Forget about exploring the mission area: super destroyer execution shots count towards enemy elemination missions. I've legit got myself branded a traitor on purpose after getting overwhealmed by bots, and then ran around among their lines for as long as I could, racking up a shit load of kills. This tech just makes that strat signifigantly more viable (at least until you get shot by the bots).
I've used this tactic exactly once and it saved my mission 👍

I call it the traitor stratagem
Just earlier this week I killed the last bug nest on a Blitz mission with the traitor bombardment on the extraction screen.
At this point, devs should just rename the warning sign into "BROKEN ARROW IN: 10", so we basically calling on ourselves a danger-close rain.

remember you can you this to get kill in extermination mission, and since its a 380 you can walk around and run at tanks and it will normally kill them if it hits.
That is exactly what I do.

@roboticrebel4092 no, most eagles/support weapons/sentries do from my account. Orbitals on the other hand mostly land where first thrown if not all of them.

Anybody who already bought the game in those areas can still play it's just that most of them just refunded the game and no one in those areas are allowed to purchase the game anymore.
If you just hold W and alternate holding A and D each time a shell falls it has the same effect. Plus you don’t have to make the 90 degree camera turn

I once got hit by a hellpod at the landing zone and got launched off the edge of the map and deemed a traitor... I was wearing the armor that gives you a 50% chance to live instead of die. My all time funniest moment in Helldivers 😂

I like how the destroyer can fire forever at you, but not the enemy.

It's kind of funny that off the edge of the map is water.
You can kind of tell everything is water every time you somehow get shoved into the ground and hear a splash.

I did this after realizing I was the only one doing the mission objectives while the others just ran around. Finally after getting the hard drive and realizing the futility of me doing the missions by myself while they ran around. I took the hard drive to the end of the screen and ran for it. Took the guy a long long time to realize that he had failed his mission as it required the hard drive to be uploaded to the communications tower. And guess who ran it all the way out of bounds. By the time he realized exactly what I did I was already back in my ship and I’m pretty sure failing that mission cost him a lot

That landing in water bit at the end definitely checks out. Almost all of the maps are layered on top of a huge lake. Witcher 3 is the first that comes to mind, but a lot of games that have water elements are built like this.

When doing eradication missions, and out of stratagems, just go become a traitor and trail them into the enemy.

Yup
I remember being launched so hard I went flying for almost maybe 30 seconds. The map was so far it was basically gone. Nothing but endless ocean before sinking to the unknown depths.
A bile titan once launched me into space and then hundreds of kilometers away from the mission area
I somehow managed this by walking on an invisible block while going up a ramp in a destroyed bot factory. Luckily the hard drive I was carrying fell near the edge of the map, but I was kicked pretty far away to the point where the traitor countdown ended before I could even land. I drowned before it blew me up though.
With the speed up it's kind of a banger though😂
I flung 50 miles out into the void sea by stepping on the wrong pebble. Look what you have to do to achieve a fraction of my power! 🗣️🔥
I remember getting launched off the map so hard by a supply pod that I saw the entire map below me, it was so cursed.
Would've been a nifty way to add an easteregg in the form of... You're not supposed to be here, or a rave room

Me and my friends actually call this the "Traitor Barrage" and we pair it with Medic Armor to sustain longer damages. Works best when you're doing exterminate mission with just 1-2 Helldivers.
Head back to the mission, walk under Bile Titans, make 'em go boom.
Well then that's just free 300mm bombardment

Oh,so when i deploy a 380mm it shoots an entire continent,but when they shoot at ME,it has 0 cooldown and the accuracy of a damn laser.

The 380 is actually programmed to target helldivers on the assumption that they are in the highest concentration of enemies. The beacon is there to introduce a margin of error to the ship’s calculations to slighty increase the odds of the diver succeeding in the mission before dying. That’s my personal head canon.

i think it would make sense if you were hit with an orbital rail canon cuz they wasted an entire barrage to kill one traitor

The things we do for Super Earth
i found that out by doing a reduce automaton numbers mission. i had to step out of bounds and couldnt get back from all the enemies, and realized i could just keep moving in small patterns. "serpentine shell serpentine!". idk how much damage it does to enemies, but they keep shooting even if you get back into the mission.
they keep shooting till you either die or extract.

@@EthanBalkfield im surprised they wont blow up the ship haha. i got torched by a hulk so didnt get to see what would happen if i tried to extract. Funny how they have all that ammo to spare when its just to kill one helldiver, but take hours to reload after a single shot.
@@The8thblock yeah I saw someone on UA-cam who recorded themselves doing this and then successfully extracting. It was pretty wild.
I think it does the same damage as the 380mm.

This explains why one time i tried using treason to take out a hulk and i ran circles rounds it to avoid it but not. A single shot of treason landed

I always found ironic how the standard barrage has a cooldown, but to kill you they have all the rounds in the world... I often used that endless barrage to go around cleaning the map of mobs as much as I can
Or, you can glitch out on a dead bile titan and get launched into the middle of that ocean and drown.... fun times
Now if only they turn all that firepower toward the enemies

i've seen a helldiver using that barrage on a bug kill mission, it was verry effective
Yeah when I realized this I started using it on erradicate missions, specially against bugs. Really fun that I can unleash a truckload more democracy as a traitor than a loyal Helldiver, however my cause is Liberty not the Helldivers, if I need to become a "traitor" to serve liberty, then so be it.

It’s called a zig zag pattern. That’s dope that the game is acting like a human, as that is the most effective way to run from fire in a combat scenario. It’s one of the first things they teach ya in the army. You wouldn’t think to do it in a game because you figure it’s preprogrammed to annihilate you no matter where you go. That’s dope game design right there. Dope AF.
You can even aim the shots if you get your distance to enemy and turn trimming down.

I've done this strat to get rid of chasing hordes when i'm soloing (albeit you'll use up that life but at least respawn with a clear LZ)
Now, trigger this and head back to the enemy base, or team, which ever is funnier
A true HellDiver will use those shots to clear out bug holes 😂
