Or should i say ‘USED’ to know and i was told I’m making a big deal for reprimanding my friend from allowing her friend to drive her when he had some beers. I told her she was irresponsible by condoning someone else drinking and driving and i told her ‘once you choose to get into a car and drink and drive, i do not care about you anymore, i care about the people you put in danger’. I still stand by that today. Sadly people who do make a noise are called ‘Karens’ ‘buzz killers’ ‘mood killer’ and ‘making a big deal’. I was in the car when my dad was arrested for a DUI. I was 12 the first car crash I was in with my drunk dad. 13 when I realized how much his words and actions hurt. His negligence lead to my mental health disorder, dissociation. Its so hard. Any time anyone is drinkin, I dissociate. If I’m playing the game on my phone I was playing the day we crashed, I dissociate. Just like the day I was in the back of a police car having a panic attack after my dad’s arrest. the kind officer helped and hugged me till my mom was there. I just want to thank him even though I know he wouldn’t see this. I love my dad. But the more my parents fight, the more scared I get. The more the words hurt. And the more I hurt myself as an way to ease the pain. I can’t take it anymore. One day if I grow up to be a mother I won’t let my kids suffer. I won’t make them drag there father in bed drunk from the yard. I won’t make their brother cover their ears from the fighting of their parents. Like my brother does for me. My heart ❤really goes out to this family I’m so sorry that this happened this young man is on a mission to warn people about the dangers of drinking and driving . People keep saying it’s never going to happen to them or they will not get pulled over until they themselves become the statistics. I cant remember if the drunk driver died or not but if he lived he now how to spend the rest of his life living with this on his conscience and how many lives were changed forever over his decision to drink and drive.
Their mom was seriously injured in the crash. A sister had to go to different hospitals after the crash to identify her siblings. 2 days later, she had to tell her mom that the 3 youngest children had died. The drunk driver was travelling at over 80 miles per hour and smashed headlong into their car. He died instantly. I'm filled with love and admiration for the family, even though I've never met them and am European. They are now committed to spreading the message in schools and around the country to not drink and drive. I won't ever get behind the wheel of my car if I've had even one drink.
I couldn't imagine making this stupid decision to drive under the influence. One stupid decision, can ruin so many lives and take it away. This took away three beautiful babies and destroyed a family. So incredibly sad.
This happened to my cousin. Drunk driver on the wrong side of the interstate. She was going way over the speed limit. The police couldn’t catch her. When they did it was too later . They both were pronounced at the seen. She left behind small littles.

My dads uncle and his Bosnian friend were killed in a crash by a drunk driver. 10 years later, his pregnant daughter, one year old son and husband got killed in a crash bcs drunk parents let their 16 year old drive bcs they couldn’t. The only survivor was their 3 year old and that’s bcs halfway through the road trip she got out and went into her uncles car as the family travelled with two cars convoy. That three year old is married today with her own child

The drunk driver got the 'seath sentence' , because he was ejected from his truck and died instantly when his truck rolled on him - a 5th fatality is blamed on him also . So the only trial' the dead DUI driver is getting , is in the 'court of public opinion .
I had a friend who was killed in the same way in Zachary years ago. The drunk driver was never charged for her murder. It should be considered 1st degree murder, no second chances and if no one is killed, then attempted murder and jail time up to 20 yrs. Never, ever a second chance.

The kid at the end of my street was hit and killed by a drunk driver on the 22nd, he was 22. What I found ironic about his death is how HE drove. This kid would do 60 down the street, he and his buddies did donuts, takeovers, drifting, etc,... with absolutely no regard for their life or anyone elses. They were so reckless that we always talked about how it'd get one of them killed one day but one of them ended up becoming a victim of someone else's recklessness. Kamryn, Lindy and Christopher good kids, this is not what they deserved. I know the guy who killed them saw the worst kind of consequence to some, but I feel like his death is just a cop out. I wish he hadn't died, I wish he could see what he did, the innocent kids he killed, the impact left and the distance of that impact. I can remember many years ago, waking up in jail with a DUI. I didn't ask anyone to bail me out, it was Sunday morning and I knew I'd have court Monday morning and they'd let me go home. I cant remember if the drunk driver died or not but if he lived he now how to spend the rest of his life living with this on his conscience and how many lives were changed forever over his decision to drink and drive.
Their mom was seriously injured in the crash. A sister had to go to different hospitals after the crash to identify her siblings. 2 days later, she had to tell her mom that the 3 youngest children had died.
The drunk driver was travelling at over 80 miles per hour and smashed headlong into their car. He died instantly.
I'm filled with love and admiration for the family, even though I've never met them and am European.
They are now committed to spreading the message in schools and around the country to not drink and drive. I won't ever get behind the wheel of my car if I've had even one drink.
This story breaks my heart beyond imagination after watching what his father going through...

I couldn't imagine making this stupid decision to drive under the influence. One stupid decision, can ruin so many lives and take it away. This took away three beautiful babies and destroyed a family. So incredibly sad.
Sad thing he was only wearing boxers so too drunk to get dressed an still thought it was a good idea to drive.
This happened to my cousin. Drunk driver on the wrong side of the interstate. She was going way over the speed limit. The police couldn’t catch her. When they did it was too later . They both were pronounced at the seen. She left behind small littles.

There is no way I'm going to be told the DUI driver of that truck didn't have extensive, repetive DUI offences that traffic judges simply slapped his hand about.
A lot of Judges have blood on their hands because of this .

My dads uncle and his Bosnian friend were killed in a crash by a drunk driver. 10 years later, his pregnant daughter, one year old son and husband got killed in a crash bcs drunk parents let their 16 year old drive bcs they couldn’t. The only survivor was their 3 year old and that’s bcs halfway through the road trip she got out and went into her uncles car as the family travelled with two cars convoy. That three year old is married today with her own child
Tragic. It is a reminder that any day could be our last day. Let go of the small things and remember to love those around you.

How heartbreaking for the parents and brother. The drink driver should get life for taking three lives. I've never touched a drop of alcohol and driven a car, and I've driven for 25 years. There is NO excuse.
The drunk driver got the 'seath sentence' , because he was ejected from his truck and died instantly when his truck rolled on him - a 5th fatality is blamed on him also .
So the only trial' the dead DUI driver is getting , is in the 'court of public opinion .
I had a friend who was killed in the same way in Zachary years ago. The drunk driver was never charged for her murder. It should be considered 1st degree murder, no second chances and if no one is killed, then attempted murder and jail time up to 20 yrs. Never, ever a second chance.
These types of accidents are 100% preventable. I can't even begin to imagine what this family is going through. I am glad to hear that the parents still do have other children to lean on.

The kid at the end of my street was hit and killed by a drunk driver on the 22nd, he was 22. What I found ironic about his death is how HE drove. This kid would do 60 down the street, he and his buddies did donuts, takeovers, drifting, etc,... with absolutely no regard for their life or anyone elses. They were so reckless that we always talked about how it'd get one of them killed one day but one of them ended up becoming a victim of someone else's recklessness. Kamryn, Lindy and Christopher good kids, this is not what they deserved. I know the guy who killed them saw the worst kind of consequence to some, but I feel like his death is just a cop out. I wish he hadn't died, I wish he could see what he did, the innocent kids he killed, the impact left and the distance of that impact. People who don't even know the Simmons are feeling the grief caused by this one person. This drinking and driving BS NEEDS to stop.

To me when you decide to get behind that wheel and drive you know already your breaking the law. Our laws on the first offense for DWI and DUI is a joke. In fact there are drivers who still drive AFTER losing their license because they are aware of how lax the punishment is. Madd was formed because a woman's daughter was killed by an drunk. Driver got off.

These drivers need to be harshly dealt with. First time offense five years in prison. Not an slap on the wrist. Second time. Ten years...third... Life.

I can remember many years ago, waking up in jail with a DUI. I didn't ask anyone to bail me out, it was Sunday morning and I knew I'd have court Monday morning and they'd let me go home. I forced myself to sit there and think about how it would've felt if I had just woken up in jail and had killed someone instead of just getting a DUI. I nevo really drank much again and now I never do. It could've ended up so much worse for me an/or someone else. l
