I never believed in any curse of the 2 dollar bill. When I started watching your videos i started to like the two dollar bill more and more. I have 4 2 dollar bills that I keep crisp in envelopes and one of them is a 70s one and three are from 2013. I also got inspired from one of your videos and I decided to go to the bank with a 50 dollar bill and ask for all 2s. The twos that I got from the bank I use on a regular day sometimes and sometimes I just keep them. I hope you get to see this comment and just know that the 2 dollar bill is now my favorite bill

When I was kid, people were told me two dollar bill's bad luck, but now people saying that, it's good luck, so now I'm so confused.

Yes! US Notes stopped being printed in the 1960s. Depending on condition and denomination most US Notes are worth more than face value as collectibles
The ill-repute story has been out there for a long time. Primarily started when Sailors were paid. Given the time period they could have been paid in $2 bills. Another part of the story is that if you were given a $2 Bill you should tear off a corner of the Bill to ward off the superstition. The story doesn't explain what happens after the last Bill corner is torn off.

They are only "supposed to be" what the holder assigns it. They have more of a history of bad luck than good, even though a great majority of people assign them to be good luck because they think they're rare (they're not)

You don’t need to do anything,, or you could just spend it. Paper and ink can’t be lucky OR unlucky. As others have posted, luck is up to each person's choices and not what kind of money they spend.

I think they’re unlucky. I carried a two dollar bill in my wallet for about 3 months and I had terrible luck, I spent it and things seemed to turn around. I’m not very superstitious but today I got another two dollar bill and I donated it to a fundraiser immediately because I didn’t wanna try my luck again. I keep a 50 cent coin for good luck now, idk if it’s lucky tho lol
Only a small percentage of people think that $2 bills are bad luck, but despite what you experienced, it's good to hear from one of them! Most people who comment only describe why they're lucky. I hope the 50 cent coin works out for you.
think the last one is wrong. i heard $2 was given at strip clubs or something so they had to use that instead of $1. they didn't bring it with them. they got it as change when they got a drink or something so that is what they had.
The stories go back to the 19th and early 20th centuries. Two bucks was the most common bet at racetracks, and at places where men got to do a lot more, uh, "interacting" than at strip clubs. As a result a lot of people refused to use them because they were afraid others would assume they’d been visiting those less-than-polite businesses.

I had a 2 dollar bill. I wanted to get rid of it after a few days because I couldnt sleep and I believed that it was bad luck. And a coincidence is that the day I got rid of it was 6/6/2022. There is 3 2s in 2022 which add up to 6 making the worst number of all.
