For Dauthi Voidwalker and similar, it's notable that Myrkul says "creature you control", so if you steal an opponents creature and it dies, you still get a token enchantment.
Definitely appreciate that Wizards is giving up higher cmc commanders that have unique effects and are worth the mana cost. Especially with their direction in making spells that have payoffs for higher cmcs
Doubling season on archon of suns grace token would be an awesome play in this deck. If you have non token creatures to sac and a good sac outlet, you have the ability to make an instant speed army with flying
Elish Norn is a backbreaker in this deck. Add Ethereal Absolution and no one will get to keep creatures out, and you'll be able to swamp opponents with 4/4 spirits. The other idea is have at least one Eerie Ultimatum effect; you can bring back all of the unfortunate souls that went to the graveyard before you cast your 7 mana commander, especially if your opponents remove him.
If you can copy myrkul, then keep the token of myrkul and send the nontoken to the graveyard, then you got an enchantment version of your commander just chilling there
@Apex_Yonko Ironically..there is actually a couple interesting white cards you can use to achieve this affect. Like Preston the vanisher as one example. Assuming you have a way of blinking myrkul
@@CreedATM That's true. The point is to have the original scute swarm die and become an enchantment so that when it copies, the copies will all be enchantments.
This also works well with the creatures that enter go get a land or to sac them and get lands bc you can do it twice then I use aristocrat stuffs to kill people avenger of zendicar to make 10 plants and sac him to make 10 more and with blood artist or any ather aristocrat cards is just busted
i wonder f i can make a token of it, then sac the original to the legend rule, exile it with the token version to get an enchantment version, when i exile it i chose to move it to my command zone and i think i still get the enchantment version because it was exiled technically and its not imprinted.
I think myrkul brings ga a lot of power to win conditions on creatures. For example felidar sovereign the best defense is yo remove it but with a sac outlet not only do th hey waste a card the have to have enchantment destruction too.
some of my tech choices for this commander is protector of crown, and sphere of safety for protection and scroll of fate to cheat the more expensive creatures onto the battlefield so they can be sac'd.
Unfortunately, Protector of the Crown and similar cards don't work as enchantments. Per the comprehensive rules: "120.1a Damage can’t be dealt to an object that’s neither a creature nor a planeswalker."
If you exiled a Legendary creature with Myrkul, would the resulting enchantment token be nonlegendary since they lose all other card types? For Doubling Season/Alternate Lives/Anointed Procession purposes
I understand the nonsense/power level with commander. But keeping track of copies of copies and all the upkeep is insane. I played a Seferis deck I upgraded it and just my upkeep alone would take me 10 minutes
Went with taxing stuff that does life lost and so things you know there going to want to kill and then try to have to kill it again so it painful all around want to damge for play drawing loseing stuff made it painful any way could its nicer then bane deck he gotta bunch small stuff that make you discard so can't keep hand lose life and sacrifice your creatures just load with all the bad lil stuff cheap cause get card draw or you get a card back there both fun decks you can realy buildnasty salt combos with

Gisa, glorious resurrector is a card that comes to mind for that.

A cool idea I have for Myrkul is to include all the Phyrexian Praetors that can go with Myrkul. Makes it harder for opponents to get rid of them
I thought of the same thing!
Doubling season on archon of suns grace token would be an awesome play in this deck. If you have non token creatures to sac and a good sac outlet, you have the ability to make an instant speed army with flying
Thieving Amalgam is really something in this deck, especially with a sac outlet.

Kormus Bell + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and any board wipe sound fun in this deck :)

Big brain move

Platinum Angel sounds fun with Myrkul
I’m adding scute swarm and sphere of safety to my myrkul deck. I think you can see where this is going
Just blow up SoS, and you have useless Scute Swarm enchantments..
@@aricaric1894 at least they still build up and trigger constellation a billion times
@@sirmoth3955 but myrkul only makes non-token creatures enchanments. If the token scutes die, they just..die...
@@CreedATM That's true. The point is to have the original scute swarm die and become an enchantment so that when it copies, the copies will all be enchantments.
Imagine having Gisa, Glorious Resurrector as an enchantment. You can start turning your opponents stuff into enchantments!
Slivers. That was my original though when I first saw this card.
Oooo. that's actually a really fun idea.
So what happens to those sagas that flip into creatures? Do they come back and cycle through the steps again, then flip to creatures?
They don't die on the final step, they exile and then flip. So no they wont interact with Myrkul
@@christopherbelanger6612 worse comes to worse you get 2x the first 2 steps again

Feel like streets of new capena cards would help with the token strategy.
Token spam and vehicles
The crew ability remakes a creature and if it's a big you re sac them to the mill alters
I built mine as Magus Tribal! :D
Why buy a moat when I can sac magus of the moat?
Peacekeeper would be even better than.
@@bananajoe275 but he's not a magus. D: I have made 1.9trillion tokens though. Things get silly when you have a few hundred token doublers out
If you exiled a Legendary creature with Myrkul, would the resulting enchantment token be nonlegendary since they lose all other card types? For Doubling Season/Alternate Lives/Anointed Procession purposes
Unfortunately, card types and supertypes aren't the same thing, and legendary is a supertype. So no, the token copies would still be legendary.
Peacekeeper would be dope in this deck, pair with privileged position and sterling Grove? Greasy
Omg... tendershoot dryad as an enchantment O.O
Why is no-one talking about Myrkul with planeswalkers? Particularly with Luxior and viscera seer
why cant he be a skeleton god why is there no skeleton support im sick of zombie tribal free the skeletons.
Wasabi!
Wasabi my dudes
I understand the nonsense/power level with commander. But keeping track of copies of copies and all the upkeep is insane. I played a Seferis deck I upgraded it and just my upkeep alone would take me 10 minutes

would not work, no toughness, no exchange
