It was a brilliant idea to come up with this stripped version. The more acoustic instrumentation and muted percussion creates more space for their vocal harmonies to come into play. Joshua's musical sensibilities are so refined, and the solid mass of vocals from the other members balances the runs and riffs that Joshua contributes. Although others also contribute to the harmonic effects, in this song Jeff and even Niko are notable. I'm not usually a fan of the sentimental side of OPM, but this is done so well that I can't stop listening to it. I hope they do more chill R&B as well in the future.

I think their concept will do a lot to popularize P-pop within the broader OPM audience... and the world. They are executing it so well.

Joshua was a solo artist with Cornerstone before helping form YML. He would never have come to my notice if not for the platform that YML provides for his artistry. There some things that a solo artist just can't do. I'm mean, you can use a digital audio workstation to produce a track with one artist harmonizing with himself (Jacob Collier and many others) but you don't get the diversity of vocal timbres and the opportunity for live performance. I'm glad he is now part of a group.
