Totally should have made the “implied” list - I guess I assumed being on staff at a church, that was a given - definitely should have included it in the list! Good catch!
Spot on! You need to identify and connect with the volunteers team, people make productions happen not just budget or tech.. PEOPLE! they are your greatest asset.
Being in a church environment (serving in GODS house) the MAIN manual (bible) has already addressed that topic…”brethren dwell together in unity”…the difference in hiring an employee or someone called into ministry
First step should be unequivocally to pray and ask God how HE wants to use this position for His glory and to grow His kingdom. By the power of His presence and the direction of His Spirit! Hallelujah!
This is me! I just took over worship production at a church that is looking to really amp up their modern service. I love hearing/seeing how others navigate those first few days and weeks
Really good stuff! I inherited the Audio portion of a tech ministry when I came on staff. And have learned some of this over the years. Would've been good had I done all this right from the beginning. Could still improve on it now.
Since 2017, I’ve been the sound & media director at my church, and last year promoted to a weekly stipend. The biggest issues we experience is lack of volunteers and budget. I also do installs for churches and businesses which every church (in the state) struggles with not enough volunteers and budget. How do you propose ways to promote both budget and motivating members to volunteering?
Surprised that “connect with your volunteer team” wasn’t on the list. That’s my #1 task when I step into a new role.
people are more important than budget

it was very briefly mentioned, and yeah it's probably so obvious that it was assumed.

I remember when you ran sound at an outdoor amphitheater! Hope the new gig is treating you well, friend.
@@ledge3609 I did? Seems so long ago 🤣. Miss ya!
@@Rythym4god miss you too, man. I'm glad to see you back at it! That church is lucky to have you. Take care, friend.
Presumably, there is a budget, which will limit what can be achieved in what time scale.
Solid tips! You gotta start with the why and a plan formulated around it.

Liked your approach - Agile in todays world
Organizing digital space takes more than 10min. Cleaning up media librarys and organizing records takes quite a bit of time.
Big picture idea 💡 👏🏾👏🏾
I don’t see any fixtures
always Thank you for share.
Ah I see, you have to get behind the paywall to discover how to connect with your tech volunteers.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by this.
