Rated from the factory at 110hp at 10,500 RPM and 60.4 lb-ft of torque at 8,500 RPM
The 5th gen VFR was made from 1998-2001 and is considered the most desirable VFR generation for a few reasons:
Gear driven cams
First generation of VFR to get fuel injection
No VTEC (6th gen and up got VTEC. It made the bike heavier with not much power difference. The 6th gen and up also got chain driven cams)
Bigger engine (782cc) compared to the previous gen (748cc)
