My brother, the way you learned Serbian is craaaazy! Well done!!! I was born in '91 so I remember very well when this came out. I listened this in Winamp, on repeat, hundreds of times a day... I cannot even describe the feeling, it remembers me so much about my childhood. And this album, from VIP - Ekipa Stigla, is probably the best album of all time in Serbian rap music. And the guy on the verse you liked the most is Ikac from VIP, the bald one :) His energy is unmatchable, even to this day!
Being a poor kid growing up alongside this music and now listening to it 20 years later offfff.... Nostalgia is real Marchelo (he is professor of Serbian language) outgrew rap long time ago, became a poet and a true artist. ( when this was recorded they were still kids in early twenties). He definitely belongs to theater. Check out his latest work : Song called "JBG". This is a masterpiece. That being said, they all made an amazing positive impact on all of us growing up. Sada znas zasto mi se gadi ovaj autotune talas. Bio sam 17 kada se Bassivity pojavio, a slusao sam RAP i tokom 90ih.. Ovo je RAP koji je bio dosao kao slag na tortu nakon 90ih i te ekipe. Pravo osvezenje scene. Danas ovaj autotune, zali Boze sta mladi slusaju (Raste, Kraste, Bube i Smrde...i ostale). Postoje i danas momci koji se drze prave stvari, ali nemaju toliku vidljivost kao ove Bube Smrde.
