@cubiicubiii yep. And another thing alot of people don't realize is his changes to his skills. He modifies by command now. Before it was commander defense.
@cubiicubiii I personally think either Gandalf with fallgin doesn't work as well because you're essentially running two white councils. And there is a cap on protection amounts. You also said didn't realize the 3 different dwarf units thing. So that may be causing some of your disappointment as well
Fortitude is better until you get near Unit Defense = Enemy’s Commander Attack so specifically on your tanks and especially your pure tanks, generally Thick Armor is going to be better. Now if you share your gear or have Epic gear, Fortitude might make more sense for you. Specifically, in the case of Fortutude and Thick Armor they are equal at: Enemy Commander Attack - Your Unit Defense = 20 So when you’re safely within the range of the enemy commander attack you can switch to Thick Armor. Of course Divide and Conquer and getting elemental protection is actually your best bet for your tank though
@Sevro555 I disagree with most of that. Have done alot of testing. The extra unit defense from thick equals about 1.2-1.8% less damage. But the unit defense helps against all kinds of damage. Fortitude is 5% (2 piece) against physical damage. And roughly 70% of the damage in game is physical I'd guess.
I’m basing things purely off of the damage formula. And based on the damage formulas that is the case. You can turn unit defense into a % of damage reduced and it’s around -20 Unit Defense (relative to Enemy Commander Attack) that the two become equal and then Thick Armor is stronger But the damage formulas may not be 100% right and maybe there’s some other factor influencing things in a way that’s unaccounted for and I could imagine this being the case, and have not tested it much at all Generally it is not comparable and it is only for tanks that fortitude and thick armor are even relatively close. Otherwise fortitude is far and away the better option Also, I have never heard of unit defense helping against all damage. It is also only for physical damage… from what I have heard. I’m interested in what you’re saying though because usually where there is smoke there is fire
thanks big al
hard for me to do much atm as im not even 2 weeks into game but this is very helpful ty!!
I was just debating this also good to have your video to help 😃 🔥
@@ArsenalCOYG-tr6do glad it helped.
I started playing this game 1 week ago and I love it!!!
@@JuliusWise that's great to hear. Welcome to the community
Pretty dope video. Never understood that falgin needs to run different dwarf units

@ the defense to command change i noticed 😂 i am not that bad.
running a gtw, falgin, dain and gimli this season. very dissapointing so far. Wonder if gandalf and falgin in the same formation makes sense?

@@cubiicubiii it's not about being bad. Just easily overlooked.
My Imrahil with Swans is solid. No madness or stun on your aggro unit is a good thing.
What respect level? Just load up on command and unit defense? Would love if you could share reports with me.
@BigAlLoTR on Discord?

@@Sevro555 but it's also about making the most out of what you got. Can't always make any gear set.

Command also modifies healing doesnt ut ?
@rubytuesday2682 Yes. Command helps healing, damage input and damage output.
