I don't know if this is an actual motivation story... Just someone threw out of hostel is enough to drive him to suicide??? I understand that being a traumatic experience but suicide? Maybe he hid parts of experience which was actually driving him to suicide. The story about his seniors and batchmates didn't fit. Also, it seemed more like a story of "why not go to kota" rather than a "motivational story". He fails to address how he overcame it. He should be thankful to Kota because of which he is in IITD.
