would have made a lot of sense and would've been a more original script than just a reboot. if you think about it, everyone had a bully (mean girl) in school, and obviously mean girls graduate and move on in life as do the rest of us, we all have heard stories about all the popular kids after graduation and how a lot of them don't do so well later in life, i think that would've been a great movie.
@@pettyten1582 no it wouldn’t. having forty year old characters randomly act like mean teenagers again ignoring character development for the sake of a cashgrab nostalgia bait legacy sequel just because you guys can’t accept a different cast would have been stupid
@@DANIELGORMANN nobody said they would act like teenagers, obviously the characters would be developed for an older audience. and btw, doing a reboot of the same movie, same script, with a different cast is way lazier. if you're going to make the same thing over and over again, then at least expand, don't repeat.
@@pettyten1582 pretty much what most people have been saying, actually. if you wanna talk about lazy then talk about referring to a film as a reboot with the same script when a simple google search can assure you that the new movie is actually an adaptation of the broadway musical. in terms of film, is adding an entire element of musical numbers not expanding? either way, it doesn’t really matter because it’s not a reboot, you’re just an idiot.
MAJOR missed opportunity with Hollywood NOT developing a direct sequel to the 2004 version we all loved. Instead we get a reiteration of a lackluster 2024 version that’s crass and contrived.
Mix of the kids basically just doing whatever they want and complete and utter judgement and. criticism of everything they wear - which they return over her. Is how I see Gretchen's parenting style.
The movie came out in 2004 and the cast was supposed to play 16 years olds. This commercial came out in 2023/2024…19 years later so Gretchen would be 35. So…if her daughter is 14/15. She would be around 20-22 when she had a kid. 😊

We see Gretchen stuck with the Cool Asians long after the plastics broke up.
Such a great observation!
But lost her fluency in the Vietnamese language!

yeah right!
makes sense
Better writing in this than the new film
Yeah! I was thinking the same!.
I love how a Walmart commercial including the OG girls is better than any other interpretation of this.
Gretchen would be SUCH a cool mom!
Our ✨FETCH✨ mom
Not a regular mom!
@@Nocturne22 a cool mom 🤭
@@Absborborygmus yes, our fetch mama!
Literally though
I love how this confirms that Gretchen and Karen remained friends after the Plastics’ dissolution. I was afraid they stopped being friends.
Gretchen isn't like your regular mom......she's a COOL mom
Lol
Agreed, she's not like other moms.
please stop talking
Gretchen has a hot husband.
She herself is a nice view
So, she doesn't end up with Jason?
Gretchen Husband's reactions to the convo. are hilarious to stare at, in context!😂😂😂

I would love to see the Original Mean Girls Grownups (I wish they had a movie to showcase their adult life)

so is it cannon that theres an eternal loop of the Gretchen of the group having a child who will eventually become the regina?
Oh that’s fucked up
MY FAV. Many people are not fans of this Gretchen character, but I love it 😂😂
KAREN STAYS CRACKING ME UP 💀
I just realized gretchen actually stuck with the cool asians at the end of the movie and they made her marrying asian here 😂
the sequel we needed as an actual Mean Girls 2
I really wanna see Mean Girls 2 regardless of how good or bad it is as I'm just curious. Sadly I can't find it anywhere for free though.

Can't we just have a mean girls sequel of the original on their adult lives instead of a reboot musical one?
Fun Fact: Gretchen's husband is from the CW's "Kung Fu" reboot. He played the hot boyfriend of the lead character.

These commercials are somehow better than the reboot movie and that is wild to me
They embodied their characters perfectly even after all these years😂
Love the continuation of her joining the Cool Asians at the end of the film.
Gretchen’s husband is so hot
Why is the toaster Strodel heiress shopping at Walmart?
Nah but this is the actual Walmart version of Mean Girls 😭

how can regina and lindsay lohan not be in this.....
Cady has her own commercial, just like Karen, Damien and Gretchen
Lindsay is narrating
Rachel McAdams didn’t know that all 3 of the girls would get together and had some cameos of the characters in the original film
Karen was the best!
