Asmrtists brands versus China Chalk (K)💕

- In other words great chalk versus great chalk. In truth, most brands whether Asmrtists or sports brands such as Ader, Chalkness likely order in bulk from China so the title of this video should be China chalk vs China chalk lol, but that is not the subject of this discussion. What I want to talk about is the difference between the two and how to decide where to buy your chalk.
First, the quality of all the Asmr brands are top notch, and herein lies the main advantage. These people take their time, expertise, funds to source the best of the best chalk. As Asmrtists themselves who crush chalk almost every day they know exactly which chalk makes for the best satisfaction. And as you can see all their chalks are of the same quality in terms of softness and crunch. And above all, asmr artists after doing all this work and research to bring us the best chalks manage to price their chalks at the most competitive rates. The average cost is around $13-18 per box (exc shipping) depending on softness. I think that is amazing. Unlike BSN that is around $30 currently. And other sports brand are also as expensive if not more expensive.
So what makes one decide to buy from Asmrtists as opposed to buying from China? Several factors really. When I was just a consumer of this craft, and not a creator, I would mainly buy from sports brands and in some cases from Asmrtists. Before starting I bought from Gholibn and then from superstar. Upon starting I have bought from almost (if not all) Asmrtist brands available. Mind you, I live in Europe and currently ALL Asmrtist brands are based in North America. So buying these chalks come at a great cost to me in terms of shipping and customs but it was still the best thing to do because I know I would be getting the best chalk for asmr available. And trust me should that bsn texture become available again, the first people to know would be our very own Asmrtist brands because they constantly have their ears to the ground. It is the reason why at one point all the chalks by Pearly, NBC, ASC, PNP, MD etc etc were all like OG Ader - soft fluffy chalk. Mmmm I miss those days and I have a feeling those days are coming back soon I hope 😍💕💕.
A very looooong way to say unless you are a creator that is crushing a box of chalk or more a day, really your best bet is to buy your chalk from asmr artists because they do all the work for you and give you a great price. Trust me it’s no fun dealing with supplier after supplier in china, trying to explain what you are looking for, paying for endless samples etc and then finally making a bulk order requires significant upfront capital and dealing with customs fees when the goods arrive. As a creator it could be worth it, but as a consumer i dont see it.
In this video, I loved all those blocks I crushed, they were all very similar in texture and quality. So again the only reason I buy from China in bulk is because it makes financial sense for me to do so due to the amount of chalk I crush AND maybe one day I can have the guts and courage to sell my own chalk. In the meantime I admire, learn from and continue to support our very own ASMRARTISTS BRANDS as much as i can💕💕. So should you.

i have just realised k and c are so different from eachother (i thought they were similar crunchy and snappy textured) but after watching your previous video and this one i feel that c has a crackly sound while being crushed while k has a glassy sound it's amazing how this alphabet series have introduced so many amazing textures! thank you angela 💗💗

I completely agree. When I first started I always bought from Amazon. This past 6 months or so I made it a rule to only buy from other asmrtist, and I will continue that rule until I no longer do asmr.
1. They all really have amazing quality chalk and 2. You’re supporting people in your community.
I have a list of asmrtists that I know sell chalk and reforms cause I like to try and buy from everyone at least once.

I feel like most of our products outside of chalk as well are made in China 😅 it’s hilarious that you said the China versus China chalk since most brands are produced in China😂 I prefer the asmr artists brands though because I love the gorgeous art on the boxes and just supporting fellow asmr artists! I think everyone should purchase from who they like since it’s their own hard earned money. It all comes from china in the end and asmr and a company upsells it for profit no matter what. Before asmr artist where promoting buying from easy grip and other companies and use codes and stuff and they got profit out of it. Like the boycot on bsn? For what who cares. In the end everyone started using bsn. Which to me is the best chalk out of all of them. If someone chooses to purchase bsn why would the next person pocket watch and complain. It’s not your money and some ppl have bigger budgets than others.

This advice applies if you are in the US or EU. If you are looking for ways to start a chalk asmr blog from a non-Western country, sanctions, embargos and shipping problems come to the scene. Look at how Chalk Fabric Doll is struggling to get her chalks. Ordering from the US is not an easy game
