    The reason people like his videos is because he's not a professional teaching us how to do something they already know. But he's starting from scratch and showing us the amount of work required to meet your goal.

    Great video. I have been doing wheelies since the age of 8 and now I am 53 almost 54 in May. Over my many years I have found that keeping the front wheel spinning is key, as it gives you a gyro effect and makes it much easier to keep up for very long distances. So, i too a small battery operated motor and let it rub on the wheel with a rubber wheel to keep it spinning pretty quick. I have/had the most fun with that, it really helps a ton.

    The only problem I have is getting the wheel In The air. I'm only 13 (153cm and 38kg) on a men's bike which is pretty heavy so I struggle heaps to get the wheel in the air. Any tips?
    I always hear to put your chest to the bars and then pull and lean back but when I do this I can barely even get my wheel of the ground at all.

    • @yoshyoka
      @yoshyoka 7 років тому

      You should not try to pull the bike up with your arms, actually the arms should use little to no force at all. Use a firm pedal stroke and lean back instead.

      theres 2 ways to wheelie, sitting and standing. for a sitting wheelie, adjust the handlebar height after saddle height to correct the balance. use your weaker leg to pop the pedal and at the same time pull up with your elbows and balance out using your body weight. for standing wheelies pull the bars right into your chest then lean either back or forwards to correct the balance. tap the rear brake slightly to stop yourself falling back in either case. a lot of it is down to finding a sweet spot once your bike is setup correct.

    • @lukefrance9558
      @lukefrance9558 7 років тому

      rayzer1981 standing ones are called manuals if I spelled that right. And don't lean forward just brake leaning will cause you to bring your arms to you and pull to your chest which is what you don't want
