Joey will likely be first into the void on the killer side. Either that or gets repurposed as a survivor. Others who never killed in their life like Spirit or Artist don't count because Rin/Spirit changed after death and the entity is obsessed with Carmina to... an extreme degree, even if she disobeyed she's not getting flung into the void. The other killers are driven by something. Even the likes of Evan or Philip who have both likely been tortured by the entity both of them have killed before in life, Joey effectively stabs a corpse or a guy who was dead no matter what action he took. Joey is only driven by the other Legion members. Once that's gone, he's got nothing.
03:00 I’m normally lucky in skillcheck timings, but I’ve noticed that they have a particularly nasty habit of triggering the moment a killer with Pain Resonance starts hooking a survivor. Triple points if Dead Man’s Switch is in play!
I still remember when people thought they saw Springtrap in/on the moniters on Gideon Meat Plant, the two instances of this I remember this happening is when people thought they saw Springtrap standing in the room where the Rack is and also on certain frames during the camera static (before they slowed the static down a bit to show it's actually Billy the Puppet).
0:49 that was an incredibly slick edit. The survivor drew our eyes to the left, so the cut to the next scene slid from the left side which caused our eyes to follow it back to the center to the next shot. Well done. Edit: wait.. how do we know skill check coding for bad moments isn’t in the game? Have we looked at the games code..? Edit again: the third way to escape the trial is to stop playing DBD, like I did for many years
My personal conspiracy - killers always get some kind of physical alteration from the Entity, even if they seem totally human. Evidence - where the hell is Trickster getting those yellow contacts?
nurse not being nerfed because everyone believed the lie that is "shes hard to play bro!!!111" and her killrate is for some reason is 57%. (as in 4/12/2024) the devs nerf and buff killers, perks, maps solely based on stats and not the community feedback most of the time. if she would get higher killrate such as 70% or 75% she would get nerfed, if she got less killrate then the devs would buff her. its just the way it is
The only ACTUAL FNaF reference that I know of is the security camera easter egg on Shelter Woods. Everything else I've heard of was just rabid fan speculation and conclusion jumping
far as ive heard, in an interview a dev stated basically (paraphrasing) "There is a secret third way to escape the trial, and no one has discovered it yet." assuming they werent just trolling, this is very interesting, especially with the 'no one has discovered it yet'. because all the common things people argue he was talking about, like disconnecting and dying, have all obviously been discovered.
yeah, the skull merchant isn’t a great example to use for the intentional throw to skew kill rates. she has a lingering hatred amongst the community, and many people just hate going against her so will game end themselves to get away from her rather than taking the dc penalty, so it isn’t entirely plausible they are sacrificing themselves in hook to get her nerfed… that may be somewhat part of it, but it’s unlikely it’s the case.
My conspiracy theory is There's a silenced camera switching while playing as a survivor and every time your hand stops touching the keyboard/control to scratch your nose or accommodate your hair a skill check is triggered
Imo you can definitely tell when someone is farming or doing a tome challenge/ritual. Like there's playing badly, and then there's playing badly in a weirdly specific way. As a SoloQ survivor main I have to pay attention to that kind of thing though, so I could understand how other people (SWF mains) might not notice it as much as I do
The first one makes absolute sense. Not only is Nurse the strongest, but Huntress was considered second by a large portion of the DBD community for a long while and Billy being third, at least until his overheat rework. Hag could also be considered fourth back in the day and then maybe Doctor. These killers were all free (at least when I started playing)
I have done "I had a tome", usually when I have a tome that requires me to play in a way that my own team would consider bad/stupid/unoptimal, say like "Opening 6 chests" or "Sabo 3 hooks in the same match", or "Unhook in the Killers Terror Radius.". Usually though I'll try to tell the team I'm doing a tome prematch, to try and minimize my own team making it take me more matches than it needs to. If I had just had an especially bad match, I usually GG and flee lol. Have to chuckle at the Artist being Candyman logic item of "Birds don't swarm"...Those are Crows and as anyone who has been around Oregon State can tell you, they will group attack ya and harass ya if they have a reason to. Context: Years ago Oregon State did an experiment where they wore some masks and intentionally made the corvids angry many many times to test their memory, well years later even the descendants of those original birds will harass people as a group if they are wearing the masks.
(im a survivor main, and am not good at killer) i had a challenge to hook the obssesion a bunch of times, so i tunneled a Kate(who was the obses-) i she was really nice in end game, and she ran me for a really long time (only got 1k - the kate), i told her i had a challenge to do, and she said she was okay, i kinda felt bad after, but she helped me complete the challenge, we became friends after, i hope this doesnt make me a bad person cuz i did this :(
Honestly, I'm pretty happy with Nurse being constantly in the top spot. Aside from the stated reasons to not try and force people to buy killers, she also sets the ceiling on how powerful a killer can be. By Nurse always having the top spot it also takes pressure off of the competitiveness, and allows some killers to be fun without always having to be good. Edit: Also it keeps everyone from fighting over who is the best killer.
10:00 Yes, I even did that several times. I have completed 100% of the achievements and archives. Some of them are so outdated that sometimes you have to play a bit nasty to have a chance. I always revealed this at the end of the round and surprisingly, more Survs understood my situation than were angry with me. Still, I got a lot of hate during that time 🙈
I feel like the third way to escape the trial thing is a semi cop out. Something about the map’s secret golden toolboxes, maybe there’s some hidden one with a custom hatch
Honestly, their is a good chance Knight was supposed to be Apollyon from For Honor, I remember that For honor had a DBD event (Still does from time to time) that lore wise had our characters and maps be taken by the Entity for its amusement, by having us do what we usually do..... but with the added killers (Trapper) as a boss who would go around and make points neutral and attack both teams. The fun part was you could kill said killer and give your team a huge buff. So yeah, that theory does make sense if you think about it, hell, might even get a skin for Knight sometime. Also question, do you think the Entity does stuff like that for a reason, like seeing the emotions a bunch of roided out warriors fighting and killing each other would give, then throw in a killer (that in all honesty is nothing special compared to the For Honor classes) cause that kind of emotion could be amazing, or its just bored with the trails sometimes.
The knight is Actually a For Honor collab. Bhvr got the rights to create a character in the For Honor universe to bring to dbd. Another reason why his lore and aesthetic designs way outshine his gameplay.
@@logantrujillo4719 i don't really think that's the case tbh. Nothing about him is actually related or connected to For Honor, and his lore itself makes no mention of anything For Honor related either, so I don't think he would be under their IP when everything about him is original and created by BHVR. For him to be licensed, he'd have to be a character from For Honors game, or related to it in some way, shape or form, but he seems to have no actual connection, and is simply an original character from DBD, no?
@nicknamed1267 he isn't licensed, obviously, but I promise bhvr created him in that for honor style for a reason. Besides, for honor has many different eras of warriors that it represents. Yes, the knight is not in for honor, but he is from his own time and setting that, while bhvr created it, it is still inspired by and made in the universe(s) of for honor
@@logantrujillo4719 that's still not a collab then though, no?. He has nothing to do with For Honor, and no actual relation to it aside from happening to be a knight, which isn't unique to For Honor either. You can argue he's inspired by it, but that alone doesn't make him part of For Honor. The Knight would need to be a pre established character in For Honor, or at least directly shown to be connected to that game in order for this to be a collab if i remember correctly. As it stands now, he is completely original and has no direct connections or even references to For Honor, so he's not a collab, but more like a homage. That would be like me saying the hillbilly is a texas chainsaw massacre collab because he's similar to leatherface, even though he is an entirely original character with no connection to the franchise (plus leatherface is now in the game lol)
The had a challenge thing is 100% real I have seen the same guy with his name set to "Have tome sorry" and he refuses to unhook, and runs a full gen speed build. So he's gen rushing to piss off the Killer, and refusing to help his team to piss off the other Survivors.
I can actually confirm one of the conspiracies: Skillchecks when leaving a heal or generator exploding the gen are an intended mechanic. It was to combat gentapping with old Ruin (aka, it never happened back in 2016 and 2017, but its been relevant ever since somewhere in 2018). This is very easy to test too, if you hear a skill check sound, let go of a gen. It wont explode (unless its Overcharge, but that skill check will continue to happen even if you run away). I dont know the exact chance of that skillcheck happening, from personal experience and tracking, its less than 5%.
The skill check one has to be true, whenever a survivor get hooked a skill check triggers instantly, as if it knows you plan on going for the save or you werent concentrating.
My solo que team mates always show me the third way to escape!! It's called disconnecting the second you get hooked. (pls don't do this, the bots never do gens lol)
What if the third way to escape the trial is if the killer dc’s? You don’t exit through the hatch or the gates but it still says “escaped” as your trial result
I have an interesting vid idea for you. Like what the developer said, supply and demand. What us, the viewers want the most? A collab with Mintskull and ranking feet. pls do a vid with mintskull in which you are ranking feet together.
03:42 Let's not forget that a ghostie comes out exactly 0.1 seconds after you turn around to look at a different doorway of the room after you looked EXACTLY at the doorway he came from and maybe even grabs you. Those moments make me want to DC. 11:19 And let's not forget the Ada perk "Low Profile" that has feet as the icon.
Tbh i do kind of believe the people throwing to skew kill rates because when I've played Ghost Face 4 times people let me kill them. But at the same time people might just wanna get the match over with.
I, too, remember the devs mentioning a 3rd way to escape the trial. It was old but it was definitely said in (I believe) one of their weekly streams from long ago.
I reserve the “Archive sorry man” for exclusively survivor stun/blind challenges, in which I generally am trying to reduce aggro as much as possible during the actual match since constant blinds or stuns are always obnoxious to deal with. (Plus it’s 10x better and funnier when I get rightfully tunneled for it lol) Otherwise I rarely see the card get pulled or find the need to…
When I'm doing games for Daily or Rift challenges, I play just to get progress in them. I've had people message me after certain games asking if I was okay, because I would start like I was playing normally, but once I got what I needed, proceed to meander until the gates were done
You make a great point about hillbilly being seen as a failed Texas Chainsaw license if released without Bubba. I hadn’t looked at it like that before; I do however genuinely believe knight was meant to be Apollyon from ForHonor.
The third way to escape was mentioned in a campfire chat iirc, and there was at some point sewer pipes being designed on the swamp map. They're probably related
the sentient skill check thing is an actual game mechanic. there's a chance that the gen will explode (not trigger a skill check) upon getting off of a generator
I know I have heard about the 3rd way since at least 2019 streamers talking about the supposed third way to escape. I think there was even an old TydeTime video where he talks about the devs mentioning it.
For the "Had a challenge" thing, I have one simple solution. It's called "Upgrade, Next Match" (Of course, while I scream into the void of because of the regret on the disastrous way I've played)
3 months late but we all know that the nurse's gasps of air/screeching are from her feeling pain from blinking, so maybe her blinks have an infinite range but its actually the nurse herself choosing to limit it to 20 meters due to 20 meters being the most pain she can take, not wanting to feel more than that (ignoring campbell's last breath)
I definitely use the challenge/tome excuse a lot. Mostly because I feel I shouldn’t have to justify myself or even have to defend myself for playing a character or build I like on a game I bought with my own money.
guys do you remember like the years leading up to alien’s release every single UA-camrs most wanted killers list had alien at number 1 or 2 at the lowest.. then when it was announced it was like the biggest announcement I’ve ever been a part of besides maybe banjo for smash… but I was just thinking about it from this video and that chapter really came and went FAST for being the most requested killer ever imo.. I think it’s because his power was annoying for survivors but not interesting enough for killer players to justify playing him 24/7. Weird thing I thought about. That reveal was HUGE.
I hate how much I believe the first one. The Nurse feels terrible to play against and imo bad to learn while trying to learn other killers. Mastering her means being literally unbeatable, how is that good or fun for anyone?
For the challenge stuff: it does happen for me to play in an unfun way or straight up sabotage a game to do a challenge, I don't line doing so but I really don't want to play 5 games jist to get a single challenge. The "escape through the hatch" in solo queue usualy results in me throwing the game, because the longer the game goes on the less likely it is I will be alive to get the hatch, so it's easier to let the other players die early to get hatch and go to the next challenge. There's also the "waste you time" challenges, like "stay within 10m of the killer outside of chase for XX seconds" well here I am urban evading doing nothing productive just to finish the challenge. Then as killer. You have stuff like "get a 4k" well, here goes the iri head fox carving huntress with 4 aura perks...
I was doing an adept challenge (try to get every killer adept) and i was sweating as Wesker since we were on Knight's map. I was cursed out in endgame chat and i was so sad bc i was trying so hard to just get my adept bc i hated sweating (I'm a demopuppy main, sweating isn't my style)
The kill rate one I can kind of confirm as being true because a streamer I follow that shall remain unnamed actively promoted killing yourself and/or disconnecting against skull merchant
Definitely got hurt by the tomes/challenges. Specific perks under specific conditions, dropping pallets in chase, staying in killer radius out of chase. After getting enough bp to max out my main, it wasn’t necessary to do them anymore. Maybe if they offered the other currency options, I’d go back to trying tomes again.
I wonder if the 3rd way to escape is actually through the lore because if you read through it there is a tome that has the Trapper being in the real world in a old house and when a spy shoots him all that is left is his Mask or the Artist where she painted pictures and they told a story so she could paint a picture of someone’s home and boom back home
1. Nurse was nerfed like a eyar ago with her lethal blinks no longer carrying effects. 2. Knight was not gonna be licensed, that was confirmed. 3. It has been offically stated by the Devs there was talk about implementing a third escape early in the game. 4. It's possible people do this, but mainly to lower MMR. 5. Azhy said everything about this. 6. FNAF is on the Devs radar, but they cannot tease it, that breaks the licensing. 7. There was a livestream from them that has the quote "We don't like feet"
7:00 The text at the end I’m pretty sure is a mix of gibberish phonetics done backwards. Cause it does make words but it just doesn’t make a coherent sentence, unless there is an added step in the deciphering but I can’t work that part out. Anyway if I’m right then it reads something like this: “Sick anomaly’s sick dying can have the any key on the”. There could literally be several other ways to read it, basically you are working it out by how it sounds rather than using a mathematical code or pattern where each letter represents a letter from the alphabet. The reason I think it needs to be done backwards is because I know ‘XIK’ is ‘SICK’ as X pronounced backwards will sound like an S and K backwards will sound like ‘ICK.
:0 I love your videos, I hope you can make a video about survivor and killer global perks and who could have been the original owners (like all the eyes perks belonging to a particular survivor) ❤
5:50 i think this is true, but not because they go like "ooh i hate this killer lets get her nerfed" its more like "ooh skull merchant sucks, this is gonna be a boring game, and i just got hooked might as well give up" I mean i do this too. When i play against boring killers i dont bother looping very well and i just kind of shut off my brain and just get it over with
The kill rate actually intentional is very interest theory. When seen official Killer kill rate I think about it all day how Skull merchant having like 70% kill rate. Compare to nurse I play her and never loose if not count hatch escape or trolling(In other word 'Try hard"/"Sweat") she still be broken and easy 4k character and back to Skull merchant l still no clue how that possible, and maybe this might true.
With the whole throwing matches to nerf killers, I do vaguely remember posts on reddit and the forums urging people to do this when Skull Merchant came out, so she would get nerfed. So for a while, it was indeed a thing that people did more than usual

Ever about to scratch your nutsack, and the second you go to do that, a skill check blows up the generator? Yeah… it sucks doesn’t it?
0:49 that was an incredibly slick edit. The survivor drew our eyes to the left, so the cut to the next scene slid from the left side which caused our eyes to follow it back to the center to the next shot.
Well done.
Edit: wait.. how do we know skill check coding for bad moments isn’t in the game? Have we looked at the games code..?
Edit again: the third way to escape the trial is to stop playing DBD, like I did for many years
My personal conspiracy - killers always get some kind of physical alteration from the Entity, even if they seem totally human. Evidence - where the hell is Trickster getting those yellow contacts?
the skillcheck part sounds so true... for one moment the hand not on the keyboard - SKILLCHECK
nurse not being nerfed because everyone believed the lie that is "shes hard to play bro!!!111" and her killrate is for some reason is 57%. (as in 4/12/2024) the devs nerf and buff killers, perks, maps solely based on stats and not the community feedback most of the time. if she would get higher killrate such as 70% or 75% she would get nerfed, if she got less killrate then the devs would buff her. its just the way it is
She's actually hard to play...

The only ACTUAL FNaF reference that I know of is the security camera easter egg on Shelter Woods. Everything else I've heard of was just rabid fan speculation and conclusion jumping
That one was fake af
fnaf fans never touching grass and thinking fnaf created every horror trope and crt tvs:
@@LayZKimochi420BlazeItTell me Fnaf lives in your head rent-free without telling me Fnaf lives in your head rent-free. Lmao 😂😂😂
That was fake lmao
sadly that was a fake. But a real one was in a tome picture with a robot animal mascot dog head
far as ive heard, in an interview a dev stated basically (paraphrasing) "There is a secret third way to escape the trial, and no one has discovered it yet."
assuming they werent just trolling, this is very interesting, especially with the 'no one has discovered it yet'. because all the common things people argue he was talking about, like disconnecting and dying, have all obviously been discovered.
Not unless Dan Schneider works for them.
yeah, the skull merchant isn’t a great example to use for the intentional throw to skew kill rates.
she has a lingering hatred amongst the community, and many people just hate going against her so will game end themselves to get away from her rather than taking the dc penalty, so it isn’t entirely plausible they are sacrificing themselves in hook to get her nerfed… that may be somewhat part of it, but it’s unlikely it’s the case.
Knight being a For Honor license makes.... too much sense
(im a survivor main, and am not good at killer) i had a challenge to hook the obssesion a bunch of times, so i tunneled a Kate(who was the obses-) i she was really nice in end game, and she ran me for a really long time (only got 1k - the kate), i told her i had a challenge to do, and she said she was okay, i kinda felt bad after, but she helped me complete the challenge, we became friends after,
i hope this doesnt make me a bad person cuz i did this :(
Honestly, I'm pretty happy with Nurse being constantly in the top spot.
Still, I got a lot of hate during that time 🙈
Perfect ending, also feet ranking when?
I feel like the third way to escape the trial thing is a semi cop out. Something about the map’s secret golden toolboxes, maybe there’s some hidden one with a custom hatch
I’ve never used “had a tome” after a match, but now I have a great excuse for fucking up ppls day
Honestly, their is a good chance Knight was supposed to be Apollyon from For Honor, I remember that For honor had a DBD event (Still does from time to time) that lore wise had our characters and maps be taken by the Entity for its amusement, by having us do what we usually do..... but with the added killers (Trapper) as a boss who would go around and make points neutral and attack both teams.
Really? When does he show up in for honor?
@@nicknamed1267 He isn't in their game, but he is created under their IP and dbd
That would be like me saying the hillbilly is a texas chainsaw massacre collab because he's similar to leatherface, even though he is an entirely original character with no connection to the franchise (plus leatherface is now in the game lol)
if you cant do a challenge without playing mean, you didn't earn it in the first place.
Hey Azhymov, where did you find out about the third escape option?
Azhymov: It was revealed to me in a cryptic dream
Not the Azhymovs/Mint Skull crossover I was hoping for but I'm glad it happened
Of course that was from Otz. Bro has a hard on for killers and everything is against killers for him. lmaoi
The had a challenge thing is 100% real I have seen the same guy with his name set to "Have tome sorry" and he refuses to unhook, and runs a full gen speed build. So he's gen rushing to piss off the Killer, and refusing to help his team to piss off the other Survivors.
I can actually confirm one of the conspiracies:
Skillchecks when leaving a heal or generator exploding the gen are an intended mechanic.
But Ahzy, NOT doing a foot-tier list will leave you de-feeted. :')
As a Artist main if the conspiracy that the Artist suppose to be the candyman is true im glad it didnt happen because i love The Artist
9:09 Pareidolia. These gamers are seeing Springtrap's face in every teaser.
One of these are no longer a conspiracy
The third way to escape is by losing all emotions… cuz then you’re in the void and not the trials (think abt it!!)
so funny how fnaf is now confirmed
I have an interesting vid idea for you.
Like what the developer said, supply and demand.
What us, the viewers want the most?
A collab with Mintskull and ranking feet.
pls do a vid with mintskull in which you are ranking feet together.
03:42 Let's not forget that a ghostie comes out exactly 0.1 seconds after you turn around to look at a different doorway of the room after you looked EXACTLY at the doorway he came from and maybe even grabs you. Those moments make me want to DC.
11:19 And let's not forget the Ada perk "Low Profile" that has feet as the icon.
There are three ways to trigger an escape: Exit Gates, Hatch and Killer DC. All three give you 7k escape reward.
Tbh i do kind of believe the people throwing to skew kill rates because when I've played Ghost Face 4 times people let me kill them. But at the same time people might just wanna get the match over with.
That 0 skillcheck autodidact heal was cherry on top
I always thought the "third way to escape" was disconnecting 😅😂
Hi there btw. Your videos help me smile. Thank you for helping me get thru my day
9:02 there is an Easter egg in shelter woods where one of the TV screens shows the FNAF 3 camera feed
I've done the "had a challenge" quite a few times, despite not having a challenge. I only do that when I play evil
You should talk about how Autodidact is the Anti-Anti-Healing Perk
"I had a tome challenge" is something I say almost every match- but I *do* actually have tome challenges I'm doing.
When I play a character that the other side didn't seem to enjoy, I always say "doing a daily."
The third way to escape the trial is the Killer disconnecting.
Tier list of which killer default weapons / power hurt the most please!
the sentient skill check thing is an actual game mechanic. there's a chance that the gen will explode (not trigger a skill check) upon getting off of a generator
I know I have heard about the 3rd way since at least 2019 streamers talking about the supposed third way to escape. I think there was even an old TydeTime video where he talks about the devs mentioning it.
And fnaf will come to dbd in 2025
For the "Had a challenge" thing, I have one simple solution. It's called "Upgrade, Next Match" (Of course, while I scream into the void of because of the regret on the disastrous way I've played)
3 months late but we all know that the nurse's gasps of air/screeching are from her feeling pain from blinking, so maybe her blinks have an infinite range but its actually the nurse herself choosing to limit it to 20 meters due to 20 meters being the most pain she can take, not wanting to feel more than that
(ignoring campbell's last breath)
People got salty from a anti loop power
For the challenge/tome one, oh yeah, I most certainly have played in ways that I'm not proud of in order to complete a challenge.
I hate how much I believe the first one. The Nurse feels terrible to play against and imo bad to learn while trying to learn other killers. Mastering her means being literally unbeatable, how is that good or fun for anyone?
I've played incredibly cruel in the name of completely certain challenges/tomes. However I've never lied about having one.
Been on a DBD kick for the first time in a minute, and seeing that we now have confirmation of a FNaF, it leads to more whispers in the community
I think this aspect of your vids is underappreciated, but i will thank you to adding subtitles to most of your vids if not all of them nowadays.
I'm glad they help :)
10:30 Yes. However, it's true every time. I usually describe the specifics of the challenge as well.
So that’s why when I itch my nose a skill check pops up
7:00 The text at the end I’m pretty sure is a mix of gibberish phonetics done backwards. Cause it does make words but it just doesn’t make a coherent sentence, unless there is an added step in the deciphering but I can’t work that part out. Anyway if I’m right then it reads something like this:
“Sick anomaly’s sick dying can have the any key on the”.
11:22 So they hear "us" when "we" talk about feet but not when we talk about MMR?
5:50 i think this is true, but not because they go like "ooh i hate this killer lets get her nerfed" its more like "ooh skull merchant sucks, this is gonna be a boring game, and i just got hooked might as well give up"
I mean i do this too.
