We had a few warm days a couple of weeks ago, and I heard the peepers, and the wood frogs-beautiful sound!

Hello Cliff, during this stretch of the horseshoe trail you pass a property that I lived on 57 years ago. I was in kindergarten at that time. The property was while on the road while returning to Naomi. The abandoned garage on the was there back then. The abandoned shack on the right was put there possibly by returning Vietnam vets. The house to the right is where my parents rented a home. The house was magnificent but burned down after we moved to Annville. That area has quite a bit of history and you might be able to locate archival photographs. I believe it was once a rich area. As returning soldiers began building plywood shacks there it became creepy.

We appreciate the times you point out the flaws or tricky parts on the trail because they’ve saved us confusion & wasted time. The part in Middle Creek where you turn to go down the mountain is a great example. I would have completely missed that blaze of if I hadn’t watched the video first. Thanks and can’t wait to see how you logistically finish map 10. We did a small part but turned back. The long straight incline was a bit much.

I think if you live near a public trail and have dogs,they should be tied up or fenced in. I liked this hike. Love that frog sound. I hope you apologized to the frogs for filming their...uh....together time. Lol...wait...does that mean you shot a porno?? Lol. Keep up the good work and be safe. You always make me smile 😊. ❤❤❤❤❤
There are many times that the map doesn't match the trail or that the blazes lack real direction. Thanks for sorting it out for us in your videos!

No. It’s from Philly area to Lebanon/Dauphin county.
Modern trails are designed to have gradual slopes, mostly under 16 degrees, thus the weaving back and forth down slope, to reduce erosion. Older trails that went more directly up or down, which seems more intuitive, are actually much more prone to erosion and become serious maintenance problems.
Im so glad you didn't go into that bamboo forest, there might have been a cryptid within the the dark veil of coverage! 😂👾👽

Good video! I grew up there. My best friend Lived in that old stone house. Fished for trout in Manada creek there by the bridge. Those are logging roads. The horseshoe trail on Stoney mtn. is much better defined. Where did you get the maps?
