The "game over time" mindset is REALLY strong. Love how you explain it here! I've never noticed it, but until now I found out that I tend to implement it a lot into my work or whatever I'm doing. By 6pm, I like to have all of my daily tasks finished, and then stop working after that. Working late makes me feel unmotivated and I work slower. Sometimes when I'm drawing (I like to make finished pieces of artwork, sometimes art studies. Just for fun) I always try to finish things like that before 5pm or I give myself 2 hours to work hard until I stop and I focus and work fast on those last few minutes of time I have left. It helps in a lot of ways outside of school!

I’m a 10th grader going into ib and I’m really scared ngl. My advisors and teachers tell me that it’s the most difficult thing ever and I’ll barely have any free time. My question is… how am I supposed to get good results, have 8 hours of sleep, go out with friends, play sports, and gym at the same time. I don’t really have a study schedule at 10th grade cuz I just study right before the exam…and I don’t want that in IB. Anyways I just want your advice man

Hello Sir, I have just stumbled on your IB videos, and I am grateful for finding your channel! I just started IB (Year 11), and the students in Year 12 and my grade students keep talking about how they are insanely stressed and busy with school work alomst 24/7. I never wanted to believe that this would be limit of my capability in IB, that I couldn't achieve excellent grades with the CHASMS of free time at hand, but their negative vibe has slowly been getting to me. I've been looking for people who have gone through IB this way ever since, hence I found your channel. I just wanted to thank you dearly for sharing your invaluable advice with us students, instead of pulling away with you own life and keeping these secrets locked away forever. I've just started using some of your tips, and I keep seeing a better version of myself every day in the mirror! Keep up the great work, and once again: Thank you!

    Hi Mr Joaquin,
My research questions for my 3 HLs are due tomorrow. These are the ones I have come up with, with ranking 1-3 on what order I want to prioritise getting that question for my EE.
Math: How large numbers factorisation has been used for RSA based cryptography protocols? Is it safe against future quantum computer attacks and how secure quantum cryptography alternatives work?
Physics: How does the shape and the surface area of a projectile in the presence of air resistance affect its trajectory
Chemistry: What is the effect of temperature on the equilibrium of the esterification reaction between acetic acid and ethanol?

Thanks for sharing! Are these supposed to be IA or EE questions? For IA they are definitely overkill. For EE they seem plausible. For Math I wouldn’t do anything on quantum cryptography - same reason why you wouldn’t want to do an EE on black holes (the IB strongly suggest against it)

Hi, love the tips but i had a (onern, i leave for shool at abt 7 20 and return only at 4 45, that limits my time to having only around 4 and a half hours per day to study, 2 and a half in the moring os I wake up at 4-430 and 2 in the evening bekause I stop the day at 7, is this amount of time still enough? sins I'm really doubting it, if you have any tips that may help do lmk

I'm G11 and have literally the same schedule as you. Did this method work out for you?
