Also worth noting: rebuilding the OD meter is also a lot harder after you burst because burst completely disables Active Flow (a mechanic that rewards good play) for the rest of the round, which, in addition to giving you a small damage buff, slowly regenerates your OD meter while active. It's why bursting early on is pretty ill-advised. ODing during blockstun can also lead to an Exceed Accel, which automatically puts you in AF, making recovering OD as quickly as possible a lot easier.
FInally after searching so many videos and the ingame tutorial not going over this, a great and to the point video. One thing I wouldve wished for is for your video to include the air tech options as well. Those get me killed the most vs people that can predict and abuse them.
Happy to see a new player! Hope you're enjoying the game. Yeah you're right about Bang's guard points but I wanted to focus more on basic mechanics rather than character specific things
Basically more Universal Stuff that every character can use other than specific chatacter ability (yes, Bang's guard point is his only ability that noone else in the game has)
Thank you for this helpful video and it also highlights how fighting games like street fighter and tekken can/could have incorporated defensive abilities to improve their games (not that they aren’t good games, I play SF6 as well but not tekken)
if youre a hazama nu or lambda player tired of people going ape on you try dumping your meter on the alpha counter like all the time. super worth it in my experience.
yeah! i forgot to mention it but there is quick wake up which is where you hold down and a button. The thing is you don't really wanna use it that often as while you can quickly recover it allows the opponent to continue their pressure so it doesnt really let you escape in a sense
My cocky ass: yes, everyone knows you can block, it’s just that everyone aren’t used to doing it instinctively. Also me: wait, there’s a difference between block and barrier, what the shi-!

This was incredibly helpful as a beginner, thanks for making it

Simple and easy to understand.
Great video. 👍
Also, I really love Rock's theme from Garou. Good music choice.
No problem man! Glad I was able to help you out!
I have a very bad habit of teching back and now knowing that it only has a 10 frames worth of invincibility explains a lot lol
I'm still new to the game, but there's Bang's guard point if that counts.

Isn't there a forth getup option by holding down and pressing a button where you just kinda stand up?
