Hey you guys, thanks for the question to Jeremiah and Nikki about knowing what your illness is. I’ve been to so many docs had so many tests and they can’t figure out what this is.. I’m been so stuck on needing to know what it is so I can pray for it specifically. That answer was for me and gave me freedom. I don’t need to know a name, just the name of Jesus. love y’all!

So much good stuff here-loved hearing insights from every single one of you!
I loved the discussion about praying in tongues because it's been something I received about four years ago, but have not really used that gift consistently because I didn't really understand it. But I've been making more of a practice to do it daily as I have some loved ones I haven't known how to pray for that greatly need God's power working in their situation and I also desire to grow in hearing Him for direction and fellowship. Recently, I heard Bible teacher Gary Keesee as a guest speaker at Charis and God led me to listen to more of Gary's teachings and read his books as they were really what I needed in this season (Gary teaches a lot on financial understanding, however his message is really a revelation of how the Kingdom works, and that just applies to everything. I would say there are some things that are different concerning finances from other things-like sowing financial seed. We don't need to "buy" our healing-Jesus already did! And we aren't buying anything financially from God, but sowing/harvest is a part of His laws concerning money...I digress...) But in his book 'The Power of Strategy,' he is really talking about the power there is in praying in the spirit and the role of the Holy Spirit. This is the same Holy Spirit power-Greek word 'dumanis'-that Jesus was empowered with to do the healings, signs, and wonders of His ministry walk once He was baptised with the Holy Spirit. That Holy Spirit power allowed Jesus to know and flow with the Father's direction and empowerment to do what Jesus needed to do to minister here on earth. Gary talks about how God uses tongues to give us revelation about things so the enemy doesn't interfere or hear those answers God is sharing with us-His hidden mysteries for us-so the enemy is caught off guard and doesn't mount a counteroffensive to stop what God is doing. (The same idea with those "midnight hour" moments when it seems like God waits until the last moment to bring the answer/help.) Praying in tongues helps our mind (soul part of us) to hear the things God is revealing to us so we know what to do or not do, so we can pray His perfect will for ourselves or others, direct our focus on Him and His promises to us, etc. Anyway, you might check out Gary's teachings on that-he offered some great insights in a way that I hadn't thought of before.

The lady talking about praying in the spirit has totally confused me. I have no idea what she is talking about. Is she meaning talking in tongues? If so, how does she even know what she is saying/praying? I'm so confused on this.
