That's why people say you can't just say how strong characters are based on how they look in fights. Ulquiorra looks stronger than Final Form Monster Aizen based on the visuals, but they straight up said that Base Aizen could solo Ulquiorra and all 10 Espada without using his illusions
And then all his forms are all way stronger than his base
So basically all the crazy looking DBZ style blasts Ichigo and Ulquiorra could do, Aizen's regular slashes could do the same or more damage
In fact, speeches like this character is mountain level and this is planet level, in Bleach they are useless, no one would say that Aizen base is weaker than Soifon because Soifon has a bankai that makes atomic explosions and Aizen does not.
These bleach speeches make no sense because the battles are based on reiatsu, reiatsu that often hides a subject's true abilities, and cannot be measured by looking at the power and magnitude of an explosion.
A single slash on Aizen is powerful when 10 soifong missiles, precisely because Aizen's reiatsu is 10 times that of a captain.

it cannot be said that Soifon is stronger than Aizen base because soifong has a bankai that makes atomic explosions and Aizen base has never shown that it can do them; because we both know that in bleach everything is measured by reiatsu, for example if soifon's bankai does 1000 damage, a single sword slash from Aizen does 10,000 damage even if the range of the attack is limited and inconspicuous. Because "Aizen base" has an amount of reiatsu equivalent to 10 captains combined

But for the explanation for this, during this arc, Ichigo has been training to tame and control his hollow powers, which is basically what we see as the mask. During one of the trainings, Ichigo's hollow told him that if he was too weak and lost a serious fight, he'd take over. So when Ichigo lost to Ulq, the Hollow took over
People call that form 'Vasto Lorde' Ichigo or 'Full Hollow' Ichigo. But after this, Ichigo gets a new hollow mask that has the power of this Hollow but he could control it. People call that 'Striped Mask' Ichigo or 'Post Ulquiorra Fight' Ichigo.
Then later on Ichigo gets a bunch of forms stronger than that. Dangai form and Mugetsu, which is what he used to fight Aizen. He then gets hus Fullbring, which was stated to be equal to or stronger than his old shinigami powers. Then his Shinigami Powers and Fullbringer Powers fuse into one, amd he gets Fullbring Shikai and Fullbring Bankai which are even stronger than that. And that's just the anime. He gets more in the manga
Actually he lost his fullbring.
What remains was just a little of it which later fused with ichigo shingami powers.
I think the role of fullbring was to make hollow power inside him stronger which later maked ichigo no longer need to use mask because he no longer need to use it since his hollow power fused a little with his shingami powers (I know this a little confusing)

Aizen is stronger than basically everyone in bleach but it really isn’t shown through the animation. It’s more like everyone knows that Aizen’s ability of hypnosis is broken and on top of that he would still body everyone with his strength alone even though the people he’s bodying are the strongest in the Bleach universe. No one is even able to kill him which is why they have to resort to sealing.

To understand Ichigo and how hes still alive, you need to read the last arc in the manga.
During this entire anime, the spirt within Ichigo tried to seal his power, this entire time Ichigo only could use a small fraction of his power, the little bit of power that the spirt inside Ichigo couldnt seal away.
When Ichigo died in this episode, the spirt within Ichigo had to release Ichigos power to save his life, but while it saved his life, Ichigo was unable to control that massive amount of power at once. The spirt within Ichigo took over and went on a rampage.
You need to read the manga, there are so many secrets revealed in the last arc.

Inside ichigo there is hollow giving him power when he puts the mask on. If ichigo dies the hollow will also dies. So when ichigo was just about to die the hollow came out and took control over ichigo's body and transformed into something even greater called vasto lord to defeat uluquiorra.

So what happened is the ichigo's hollow took over his body. The form you are seeing is a vastro lorde the 3rd and final form of Menos Grande which are a higher form of hollows. But ichigo is a special case and is considered 1 of 5 special weapons soul society has as a backup plan in case of emergencies. Just to give you a scale of his power after this series. Zoro's been hitting Bleach-level feats recently (and not so recently). Cutting things the size of Pica and the horns of Onigashima are feats you'd expect LATER in Bleach. Several OP characters have Bleach level speed, as well. This is a fact and the reason why I don't typically compare characters from different anime. They always have comparable stats in some regard.
It’s Zangetsu, Ichigo’s Zanpakuto, that was the one who helped Ichigo in this fight. Similar to how Zangetsu helped him when he was facing Kenpachi. But this time it’s his hollow side.

@@icemoon5472 Hollow Ichigo does say "I am Zangetsu" when he fought Ichigo while he was training to gain control his Hollowfication, so it's not even a manga thing. I haven't even read the manga yet. (Besides TYBW Arc.)
