▼Akiru Shrine Regular Festival About the Akiruno Three Major Festivals This is an impressive festival in which more than 100 hexagonal mikoshi (portable shrines), which are rare in Japan, are paraded along Hinohara Kaido in Gomachi.
The annual festival is held on September 28th, 29th, and 30th every year, and bearers come out from the five towns of Shitamachi, Nakamachi, Kamimachi, Sakae-machi, and Higashi-machi to carry out the passing.
