It would be interesting if touya still cared about the todoroki family and only hated endeavor, I know it would be a bit cliche but horikoshi could have done more with his character if that was the cast.

Canon Dabi had a tragic backstory that just as (or even more) messed up than Shigaraki's, but Touya Todoroki is pretty much gone, even if you sympathise with him there's nothing you could do and you can only see him as a threat. Fandom Dabi on the other hand is a lot more subtle and would probably be a lot more Stain-like (e.g try not to kill innocent people); but even if he changed sides, it would unrealistic if he was cleared of all charges and anything that isn't a life sentence would be generous (maybe he could be exiled to a remote part of Japan or something, kinda like how people were exiled to Siberia in Russia). What would you have Dabi do if you were the creator?

I understand why he want to get revenge I would do the same if I were in his place but he shouldn’t put his revenge on Shoto who just existed and do nothing wrong :) Endeavor/Enji Tokoroki is a bad father and husband all he did make me too many reason to hate him, I mean if he want to surpassed All might he can to it yourself and not make their children do that ! What I would do if I was the creator of Dabi ? I don’t know, It’s complicated their are too much bad things happen at the Tokoroki family. The jealousy, wanted attention, surpassed All might,Hated,insane ect.. It make it complicated to know.. I just wish he has a happy end and Dabi stop make the jealousy/hate for her family who did nothing wrong apart Endeavor :) But yeah he should have become a villain and want to get revenge who are kill him but I mean all his childhood past he was abused ect… so how would he forgot everything and stop the revenge and the jealousy ? I have a few ideas on how to improve Dabi's character, but to prevent writing complete, heavily detailed fanfiction, I'll just put major details as bullet points. • For a start, minor change; I've always found it a bit strange how Touya was shorter than Fuyumi and Natsuo when they were little, so I'd fix that. • Also I'd change the time of Touya's "death" to two years later; when Touya's 15, Fuyumi's 14, Natsuo's 10, and Shoto's 7. • Endeavor never fully gave up on Touya and continued to train him alongside Shoto. Also the main reason Shoto was separated from the others was because Touya tried to attack him; since this doesn't happen in this au, Touya's allowed to interact with all his siblings, though it is likely that Endeavor would eventually prevent Shoto from seeing Natsuo and Fuyumi. Touya would be fine with continuing to train with Endeavor, he still wanted to become a hero, and if Endeavor took things too far with Shoto then he'd try and interven. One time lashing out at Endeavor and burning him, at first Endeavor would be mad but then impressed and therefore continue to push Touya's limits. He kept telling his siblings that he was fine when he wasn't and none of Endeavor's abuse could equal to the pain of watching shoto cling to him, crying his eyes out. • Touya had a nickname for Shoto which would become Shoto's hero name. • Touya had pieced together what Endeavor was trying to do at a young age and predicted that the "masterpiece" would come eventually. • Touya is basically your ideal big brother; the kind you look up to more than your parents, he loves and cares about his family deeply and despises endeavor and his sick "dream", hoping to do something about it one day and free his family. After being replaced by Shoto, Touya dedicated his childhood to protecting his siblings from Endeavor's abuse, especially Shoto. He was more of a father to his siblings than Endeavor was. • In the flashback were Shoto's watching the others playing football before being dragged away by Endeavor, you can see that Touya is the only one who noticed them but you can't see his facial expression. Sometime later you see the same flashback from Touya's point of view and therefore see his face which has a mixture of anger (towards Endeavor) and concern (for Shoto). • by the time Touya's 15 his hair had gone completely white, this could represent him reaching manhood. It could also represent his stress, anger and frustration against Endeavor, his red hair (representing his positivity, warmth and happiness) being replaced by his white hair (representing his negativity, coldness, stress, anger and a powerful hatred towards Endeavor). • As Touya's mental health decreased, he started picking up a more violent and delinquent lifestyle, turning to drugs and alcohol, prone to violent outbursts that only his siblings could calm him down from. • I kinda understand that fuyumi's trying to repair the family but it honestly feels like she's trying to force her opinion on her traumatised brothers. It would be dark if Touya got into an argument with Fuyumi and accused her of being blind to what Endeavor's doing, and that be the last time she spoke to him. • Shoto getting burned and Rei getting hospitalised would have been the last straw for Touya, and for the next two years he trained his quirk and body for survival and combat,which caused a lot of his burns. Endeavor didn't care (he probably thought Touya was doing independent training). He had always believed himself to be the one to free his family from Endeavor and now he was ready to do it. One night he packed his things and before leaving he went to Shoto's room and told him that he was leaving; promising shoto a better life when he returned. Touya knew he had to fake his death so he set the forest on fire but he lost control and burned himself pretty badly. For the next nine years, Touya lay low and did a pretty good job of surviving on the streets, the wilderness and the criminal underworld. • In this version, Shoto would be more mentally troubled; having your mother burn you, your brother die, being separated from your other siblings, spent the next decade in abuse and isolation would have a negative effect on his mental health. Shoto would create a imaginary Touya (this were we first meet touya. We don'tknow who he is or that his a figment of Shoto's imagination) who keeps him company, gives him advice (which would actually just be shoto realising things himself), and egging on his hatred for Endeavor. We'd get slight clues that imaginary touya (IT) isn't real until we learn about the Todoroki family. Once the Todoroki family are finally getting along, Shoto would have a heartwarming goodbye with IT. This would make Dabi's reveal much more devastated for Shoto. • After the war; Dabi, Compress and Spinner would desert Shigaraki due to their ideologies not coexisting, and start their own coalition of Stain Supporters (because, come on Stain must have inspired more than eight people) with Dabi as a second on command/stand in leader for Stain. Stain would at least scold dabi for tearing down hero society, but Dabi would defend himself with the fact that now only true heroes remain.
