I found a small slug covered in slug mites. I took the Slug into the garden where I had add half an old melon which had gone past its use by date. The juices from the melon had collected up to about 10mm deep where the seeds would have been. Putting the Slug on the melon, the Slug decided to venture into the juices. I noticed how all the mites on its back did their upmost to stay out of the liquid. So I encourage the slug all the way into the liquid; lo and behold all the Mites became unattached and stayed on the surface because they were unable to penetrate the surface tension of the liquid.
Would this method completely cure the slug, I'm not sure but it's certainly dealt with the surface critters.
I then poured the juices away into a separate container and then hosed off the melon insuring there are no mites left on there to infect any other slugs.
I then pulled the juices from the container down the sink after adding detergent.
Farewell slug mites have a nice death.

@@nataliefoster8871 Please, I am afraid of parasites, is it possible that my snail gets them, or any other parasites, if it isn´t in contact with wild snails, and i wash all the food and calcium i give him? I also clean anything before I give it to him. I have it since it was a baby (1 week old). I would be glad for help.

Get a colony of Hypoaspis Miles mites. They eat any parasites your slugs or snails have
