Indeed he does. FWIW I transcribed this same solo over three decades ago and, not unlike the work product pictured above, did not transcribe the left hand comping behind the solo, mostly because it was too difficult to make out (to say nothing of the limitations of the 1986 cassette format), but also because I was only after the licks, lines, and phrases in the RH. There are a few transcriptions that I have done over the years where I did, in fact, transcribe the left hand behind the solo (e.g., Chick Corea's "Windows"), but only in places where the voicing struck me as salient, and I wanted to take a deeper dive into what the pianist's LH was doing. Ultimately, the transcriber deserves credit for selecting a terrific solo to commit to paper, and for painstakingly doing the work; there's tons of useful information here, even if it is only the One Hand Snap.
You're right, but my aim was to check Herbie's melodic language (particularly rhythmic placement), and that's what I did. Feel free to transcribe the left hand yourself if that is what you need (we all need Herbie's left hand, actually...)
Deep respect!
What interesting eight note lines, thanks for writing it out, wow.
Is the pdf available anywhere?
Nope. Sorry. Did it directly on soundslice. Check the link
Looks like one hand snap. Herbie actually uses two hands, my friend.
