***** is an indie-pop five-piece from Belgium. If you haven't heard about them it’s time to fix that by watching this great band in an all new exclusive #DeezerSession ! #Balthazar #Deezer
Deezer I'm from the States, and saw them on a whim in Prague w this super cool French gal whom I met earlier that same day, in the middle of a big vacation of mine over in Europe that year. I've been a huge fan ever since, and have done my part to spread their word here on my side of the Atlantic, as well as the side projects for three of the guys: Zimmerman, Warhaus, and J Bernhardt. Each of the side projects are on a par with this, in terms of songwriting. Warhaus is probably the most "mainstream" of them, and they seem to garner many comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave (which can only be a good thing, obviously). I could see the amount of profanity as potentially being off putting for some, especially coming from Balthazar; but, their album is well worth acquiring a copy of. Zimmerman's album is also jam-packed with nothing but a stellar display of well crafted, indie-rock tunes. I haven't listened to it, but he apparently also released a piano version of the album. My favorite, though, is J Bernhardt, even though he's only officially released two songs, with a full album due out by June.
