Snorkeling with Salmon in Campbell River (2023)

In August 2023, Teagan and I tried snorkeling with salmon in the deep pools of the Campbell River. Unfortunately, we were too early, so we decided to drift the river further downstream. We saw thousands of pink salmon and even a few big Chinook salmon.
*Edit: 2023 Pink salmon run size was actually closer to 850,000, and not over 1 million as I said in my video.

Max, what kind or red mask and snorkel ur wearing underwater and where did u get ur red mask and snorkel. And what about ur friend Teague and wearing the blue mask and snorkel too and what kind and where she got it

My mask is a Tusa Freedom Elite, but it's actually a dark pink, not red. I bought the mask at the Nanaimo Dive Outfitters and the snorkel at a dive shop in Crystal River, Florida. I'm not sure what kind of mask that my friend is wearing, sorry.

Max, how can people be able to swim with Salmon and r people allowed to swim and snorkel with Salmon. Would u even try scuba diving with Salmon

There are a number of rivers in British Columbia that have salmon in the fall (anytime from July to November depending on the river and the species). You just need to snorkel a river that has good visibility and safe flows. Some people have tried scuba diving with salmon in deeper, calm pools in rivers, but this usually requires hiking with a lot of gear, so I prefer snorkeling and freediving.
