You might want to pull your center console out and clean under there, I just did it on my Levin you wouldn't believe how much crap falls in between the handbrake gaiter. Mine had all sorts of old bits of food and rubbish under there. It's just 2 bolts inside the center console compartment and 2 screws below the gear shifter where the console joins up, and you just pull it over the handbrake and slide it out.
@@levinitup204 Yeah your one will probably be cleaner than mine but it's worth a look. I also found a little bit of corrosion under there where the tunnel is exposed

Superstrut noob here, is the superstrut system just in the front end then?
Correct mate, its just in the front. Very similar to the MK2 Focus RS Revo knuckle
good Super strut but when u want to find one so hard i use to have BZR sold it what i should of Done was convert to mcherp
they typically last between 80,000 -100,00km so now its changed that should see me right for many years to come as its not my daily driver.
The superstrut actually handles way better than the macpherson setup I have had them both
