You never have met a More Honest and Amazing Man and Friend and to me Glen was A Father Figure for just A few Days in my life when I truly needed that Father Figure to set me on the Right path and I told Him he better make Everything right with his Daughters and Sons because Even if he didn't think they needed them is when they need and want Daddy the most.

Tammy and George were amazing. I miss both of them sooo much. My husband and I toured with the two of them the whole time they were married. We toured with Geoge before and after Tammy. He was our very best friend for over 20 years. We wrote many songs together and love having him as my brother in law. He was married to my sister Linda when he met Nancy. Linda and George never did get a legal divorce but George married Nancy any way later on And was still living with her when he died. That was such a sad day. We will always love both George and Tammy. She was a lovely lady. Ee had some good times together. Wish they had never separated. They were a perfect couple just couldn't get everything going the way they should have gone. I'm all for both of them. They were good people , but had personal problems with each other. There are so many of the people we were involved with that have passed away. It's certainly sad, but it happens to all of us and we have to go on and accept what ever life dishes out. We just reall miss them

Charlene thank you so much for writing your book about George. I have only ever read George's book i lived to tell it all and georegttes book. I absolutely love your book, Its like the holy bible to me. has I only believe the story's you, peanut and George tell and wrote.
I really believe George thought a lot of you and peanut. So sad GR broke them up. They sure could have worked things out if he had never interferd.
Thank you Charlene and Peanut Montgomery for all those beautiful songs you wrote for George Jones and Tammy, you both should be millionaires and his children.
May God bless you and your husband peanut with health and happiness 🙏

Charlene would be so interesting to talk with you, especially after watching George and Tammy on showcase. Are you on any platform that would facilitate questions and answers, or an email address? I am just a fan with questions. Nothing more nothing less. Thanks for your comments.

My friend's dad either wrote or co wrote "Green Green Grass of Home and He Stopped Loving Her Today". Those 2 songs alone is a career but he wrote lots of songs. Curly Putman Jr. AKA Junior from Paul McCartney's "Junior's Farm". I was a wild ass in my youth too and all my using friends are dead too. I don't know why I'm still here even though my body seems to be failing me. I have nice hair too maybe it's in the hair. lol

I love how George reacts when they talk about his hair. A mixture of pride and slight embarrassment. It’s cute!

Before Tammy Wynette George had that crew cut. It was during those years that he earned the name Possum .

Tammy changed Georges life when Peanut Montgomery Georges best friend asked Tammy to pay for George to go into rehab. Read the book George Jones the legend by Charlene Montgomery, it tells all the truth.

George jones fans sent him letters in the hospital and thats what got George off drugs and booze. We must not forget Earl peanut Montgomery contacted Tammy for help to pay for George to go into rehab. Peanut and his wife Peanut Montgomery knew George way before Tammy and Nancy and are yes are very best friends still even though hes in heaven. Rip George Jones and Tammy
