...and, I'm the PROUD owner of the 'limited edition' Gold Vinyl edition! ...Butterfly Records was VERY ahead of the curve, pressing colored Vinyl for Bob McGilpin, Saint Tropez, & THP Orchestra, for DJ's ....this tune peaked at #8 Disco, Jan. 1979....
I remember during this era, it was very popular in my town to get to second-hand stores and buy one's outfit for clubbing. Skinny ties, small collars, suit vests, the Annie Hall look. I worked at a department store at the time I had several customers ask where to buy such clothes. Also, thin belts.
I loved the disco era, especially when they would take old songs like this and turn them into big disco hits. Tangerine by Salsoul Orchestra, Baby Face by Wing & A Prayer, Brazil by The Ritchie Family were some other really good ones. Thanks for posting.
En aquella inolvidable Disco Charlie Brown de mi amigo Ricardo Belmont en Aguascalientes (Mexico).. fines de la maravillosa década de los 70...mi época de vago de Disco y estudiante Universitario....Rafael Hinojos.
I was soooo excited to find this Great Mix, again!! I also, discovered "Tuxedo Junction", back in the `70's. I've spoke, of it's yellow transparent LP, to my husband for years. Your mention of this gave me such a Joyous Smile! Great memories! Great music! If you haven't heard it before... Listening, is a Must!
@bluboy711 Wow ! I haven't heard this version since 1978. Back when I was 16 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in their DISCO. This song brings back such Fun & Good memories. Thanks for Posting you have made 50 year old woman quite happy.
I have the gold vinyl, too! Original LP. Man, I miss the old Disco days. I was a 15 yr old in '77 and getting into all the discotheques with my 18 yr old looks and of course a fake ID, which I never had to use. I was finally carded once at the age of 21, but by then the age minimum for clubs was 19, so, I didn't need a fake ID anymore... but, wow did I love the Disco scene and music for many a year!
ME HACE MUUUUUY!!!!!! FELIZ 😀
found this on 8 track today but can not play it til i get a batch of repair pressure pads i ordered n repair the tape. this sounds pretty unique for disco stuff. can not wait to repair the 8 track and play it. i generally do not like disco in music at all but this is interesting
Haha! I could have said Electro Swing brought me here but I'm an old Disco-Head who fondly remembers this Classic Hit. The Millennials won't even believe this jam is a great pre-curser to the incredible stuff they're jammin' to on the Electro Swing Tracks. I'm positive Electro Swing King #ParovStelar has this oldie-but-goody record on his private shelf.

Loved this sophisticated dance era back in the mid-to-late '70s. Nothing like it before or after. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing!
I have this album, I love this and Glenn Miller's version.

Something about this suite feels perfect. This is the purest music.

DRESSING UP TO GO TO THE DISCO WAS ALWAYS SO EXCITING. EARLIER THAT DAY YOU PURCHASED A NEW OUTFIT AND YOU KNOW YOU WERE GONNA LOOK SO DAMN HOT!!
