I'm impressed with the second guy's ankle strength. That's a lot of muscle mass for his ankles/feet to support, so his balance has to be perfect.
his body will have adapted as well since he has likely trained since childhood. The fascinating thing is that it's tendon health that decides a lot of our ability to absorb and transfer force.
He actually seems to hurt his ankle on the landing. You can see him limping after his exit.
Balls of steel!
This is incredible! What amazing skill and strength! Great to see the adults setting such a good example and wonderful to see the younger boys so dedicated too. Amazing! Keep it going!! Thanks for posting.

In olden days, these exercises were used by wrestlers for warm up and body conditioning
I keep coming back here because the song is stuck in my head.
These athletes are wonderful and talented awesome to watch. Thanks for posting, love the music too.
This is great! It seems to be some sort of ancient indian warriors training......and I know, that only a few of europeans could manage this trainings......
Good luck guys!
It takes a lot of strength and balance to hold up your own bodyweight like that, especially when using your feet alone, lol. These guys would do really well in parkour too. Awesome. 😊👍
Oh my gosh I have never been so scared looking at something in my life absolutely amazing
This form of gymnastic was developed in ancient india by Lord Hanuman in 18th century. Story is, an Arab wresteler came to india in 18th century and challenged indian wrestelers to defeat him. He was a undefeatable kinda wresteler. So an Indian person from state Maharashtra of india named Balambhatdada Deodhar accepted the challenge. He went to jungle and prayed Lord Hanumana for many months. Lord Hanuman resurrected infront of him and he taught him wresteling tricks and this Mallakhamb!
This is awesome. These guys would transition to grappling really easy.

This is amazing!
Imagine how formidable practitioners of this sport would be at wrestling or grappling!
This sport is used as a warm up by wrestlers in Maharashtra! That was the original purpose of this routine until it spun off to become a separate sport.
Who is that amazing player
Holy shit, I didn't know Carlton practiced Mallakhamb!
I know! That was totally Carlton :-) Such an awesome sport, very talented gymnasts.
I come back for the music!!
that's the reason Indians defeated Alexander The Great......while he was trying to conquer India...
Anyways , I love doing Hindu exercises > I have done them since the early 90s before all this crossfit revolution crap. Squats , Hindu pushups , mace swinging and dumbells are my routine I copied . They are awesome and no one likes to try them due to repetition intimidation I guess.
Id love to get better at the rope climbing and even try some of these Mallakhamb.
Thats soo unreal!! Wow so awesome!
Should b mandatory! Anytime i want to restore my faith in hmanity, i come here! This truly glorifies God and He allows us glory in unison!

Holy shit that is pretty damn awesosme.
My local pole dance can learn a thing or two from these guys....
The second guy has the body of what I would like to see in a live action Wolverine
@sangam06 Hi, I would love to get some info from you and would love the contact info of a Malakhamb Master
what's name of this song,...?
Everyone who is giving this sport a tag of pole dancing, kindly STOP... Mallakhamb is a traditional Indian sport which has been in practice for over 900 years. Don't disrespect such an amazing sport by calling it "pole dancing" which has been around for like 35 years and mostly used for sexual purposes. Educate yourself before calling this pole dancing.
Pole dancing is a sport and a form of dance. I believe what you are referring to is "stripping"
Mehul Jain yeah, it's definitely not pole dancing. For one, there's no dancing involved.
Mel Shivson quite ignorant opinion. IMHO. (or maybe you can not see far enough...)
Mehul Jain well, aside from the fact that "pole dancing" shouldn't feel "disrespectful", because it's as much as a sport as any other when not centered around stripping (because yes, pole dancing and stripping are two different things and it'd be real nice if you "educated yourself" as well, there are some truly amazing athletes out there... I'm not trying to argue or anything, just... don't diss a sport you know very little about just because someone got it wrong with names, please)...
Aside from that little fact I felt I had to precise, I agree with the rest, it has its own name, and it's not really pole dancing, it might be considered "pole fitness", because it is a form of fitness practice and it involves a pole, but it's a whole different form of art, that damn well deserves its own name.
(though I must admit there are some pretty similar moves and holds here and there.)
0:29 Oh my God, I thought he was going to fall!
India is the birth of Martial Arts, an Indian monk form Shaolin Kung fu at the Shaolin temples.
nope. he teaches buddhism and yoga to chinese before there were shaolin monks.
They should include this as an Olympic Event
