Out by me, they were stealing tires off trailers, cats and tires off trucks, smashing windows and stealing GPs units, etc., etc., etc. Bunch of local fisherman who had been robbed, set them up. One guy drove a pannel van (no windows) with boat & trailer, put in at ramp, parked and went fishing. But van had four guys inside waiting for the "A-holes" to strike. Sure enough, 10 minutes after the decoy fisherman left his van two guys from a parked van tried to hit the decoy van. When the guys inside heard the saws-all going, the four guys jumped out of the van and beat the snot out of the two punks; flattened their van's tires, busted out all the windows and took their tools. Plus, they took their I.D's out of their wallets. They were told if any more trucks, cars or trailers get damaged at that ramp they will come looking for them at their homes, then they sent them packing on foot. Since then, not a single issue has occurded at that ramp. Prior to this, cops did nothing, even when video was given to them on several occasions. Older cop suggested they "take care of their own" and not bother calling the police. So that is exactly what they did.
Man that is the best story I have heard in years, made me so happy to read it. Iv`e had quite a few fishing trips ruined because of vandals and thieves.
I will say it again. This will not stop until we make it stop. My emotional side tells me a .22 magnum and a backhoe would be a good start. Fishermen can have look outs also.
Dave, you need to keep an abundant supply of Cheese, Crackers and Bologna with you at all times, seems like every time you snack you catch a fish LOL love the vids!!!
Dave you should honestly consider writing a book on the art of cat fishing. You are very insightful on your techniques, strategy, weather patterns, thieves trying to steal your cat etc
This old boy no how to cat fish I'm from Tennessee and I could learn a few things from this smart Good Ole Boy respect u got my subscription on the first video I saw of you good luck and good fishing show me more thank you SIR
Dave I would drive by and let those Catalytic Converter thieves see you videoing their Cars/Tags. It's out in Public so you're allowed to video or take pictures. If they KNOW you have their cars/tags on camera they are a Lot Less likely to take your stuff... Anyways, I enjoyed the video as always, Good Luck and have FUN !
I'm often amazed that a little bitty channel can get a 10/0 size hook in their mouth - yet somehow, they do. Good stuff, Dave! Glad they didn't break windows & still any catalytic converters this trip anyway!
Dave, this is what I will say based on experience: get yourself a soft mouse pad to drop/throw your controlier on. It will last a lot longer. love your videos.
Great video as always Dave. I occasionally stalk cougars too. If I were a bettn man I'd say you got one treed somewhere around Cherokee. Just kidding thanks again keep it up
Dave, you remind me of me! You only get what you hear and what you see! No candy included with the deal! Keep doing what you're doing. You are the catfish king! Be safe brother! Thomas, Mississippi!!
Dang it Dave, them blues putting u on a diet lol. Yeah, the damn thrives discuss me to the core. In OK. The made a major bust on warehouse full of cat. Converters, like 11 people jailed.
I only use braid on all my rods for dragging. I use s a 40 lb mono leader for the float and hook. I like braid because you seem to get better take downs. Great video. Thanks for taking the time to share
Goodun Dave… I’ve fished there once but I only had my ultra light because we were trout fishing in the nantahala but I caught some decent spotted bass while I was there on a crappie jig… lol
Always enjoy your videos and the asides about thieves, crackheads, and barking dogs. I also absolutely hate braid lines, but I agree with Dave that its smaller diameter is occasionally useful. I wish I had seen through the salesman's BS when he sold me a 60 lb test braid for catfishing. How do you break off a 60 lb test line hung up on the bottom from a kayak without leaving a bunch of expensive line in the water? 30 lb test is the maximum I'll ever use from now on
I’d love to join you sometime. I recently got into fishing and I’ve had afew great days catfishing. But would love to get some knowledge from you and experience a day of fishing with an angler as knowledgeable as yourself in catfishing.
If you prefer a shorter rod I recommend a penn baymaster, I have one setup for spin fishing with a quantum optix x 80 series spinning reel and I have yet to have something really bend that rod.
Does water temp affect your choice of dragging speed? How about currents? I’ve not tried your methods yet, but will be moving South some time in early 2024 and need to develop another skill set!
Awesome catch Dave. I believe that certain poles holds the bait, when your trolling, in a way that makes it better for the fish to hit. That's why you catch more fish on certain poles than you do others. Does that make sense? Hook and reel. Take care, God Bless.
I had my truck broken into ar the boat ramp, they broke the wing window. And the stupid sob didn’t get a thing. My radio was an old 8 track in the dashboard. And he didn’t see the several hundred dollars worth of tools behind the seat. But still they broke the wing window. Almost makes a person want to set up a little trap 🪤 and wait with a ball bat. They sure can ruin a fishing trip. 👹
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that catfish are into One Direction. I'd have just thought they'd have been more into Muddy Watters or Johnny Rivers. The Little River Band, perhaps.
Some people do wrong without fear of punishment. Would it help to film them and their rigs on the way in! I enjoy and learn from every video by the way.
I would mount me some kind of camera in my grill to where they can't see it and try to park where they gotta come up from the front to catch them on camera.
Go out in the middle, near the ramp and suspend your baits, right there. That way, you can fish and watch the ramp at the same time. As soon as you see some clown nosing around your rig, call the local police or game wardens, to come get them.

You should go up on the hill and video their vehicles and them. Tell them that you have video equipment installed in your truck that sends all video to a server so they can't bypass it.
Dave! I’d be more than happy to hire on as your rig watcher! Nothing more infuriating than a thief! You’re out over $800, and they get a few pills. Time for some recuperative medicinal application 👊
Awesome video and thieves suck. Be aggressively friendly with them. Stop talk to them, get their pic and tag. That might run them run off. Call local Leo’s and let them know they are there and that you got their info. Sad to see but it’s the world we live in now.
Ha ha ha ,,,get you a gardpro A-3-S trail cam from Amazon,,put it in your truck , turn it on when you leave the ramp , when thieves see they being filmed,,they get gone in a hurry. Ha ha ha
@@patcolston2901 that’s exactly what you want them to do ,,,let me inform you of what those cameras will do ,,take a 4K video of you and send the video to the owners phone in five seconds,,if that’s not all it takes ,,,they have gps inside them that can not be turned off ,,a person who would steal one is an idiot because he would get put in jail before he even got back home.
They have been working the boat ramp i use. So I put a couple of game cams in the woods looking at the parking lot of the ramp I use. One getting every vehicle that comes in or out and two watching the vehicles. So I am sure they are stupid and will come hit this ramp again. So should not be to long before I get em.
Algorithms!!! Where I live. Lake Murray SC. I pulled my pontoon out at public ramp on week day to change oil. I was shocked at how many low lifes came through while we changed oil in 2 boats.

Meth is killing America
That will stop alot of that foolishness good for them
Man that is the best story I have heard in years, made me so happy to read it. Iv`e had quite a few fishing trips ruined because of vandals and thieves.
I don't disagree with the punishment the thieves received, just glad no one pulled a gun. I suppose the police would get involved if someone was shot.
I will say it again. This will not stop until we make it stop. My emotional side tells me a .22 magnum and a backhoe would be a good start. Fishermen can have look outs also.
It's great seeing you in a boat but occasionally I miss the days of the running hookset from the bank. Happy holidays Dave.
A classic move by our man Dave.

enjoy watching and learning one thing I would like for you is to mention water temperature.
I'm often amazed that a little bitty channel can get a 10/0 size hook in their mouth - yet somehow, they do. Good stuff, Dave! Glad they didn't break windows & still any catalytic converters this trip anyway!
That finesse rod looks like fun to use; handled the big blues quite well. 👍
Dave, this is what I will say based on experience: get yourself a soft mouse pad to drop/throw your controlier on. It will last a lot longer. love your videos.
Sure like watching ya pull those fine cat's in, always makes me try to catch some big one's to. Great job.
Love to hear the Bluegrass again. Sets the mood for good catfishing
Excited to see a catfish Dave pop up! Just love to watch them be safe out there God Bless
Love your music, dont change a thing. Watch your videos almost everyday. Your channel is #1 for sure
Great video as always Dave. I occasionally stalk cougars too. If I were a bettn man I'd say you got one treed somewhere around Cherokee. Just kidding thanks again keep it up

everybody that watches Dave knows what he said with his mouthful "piece of cheese". Love the content tight lines and keep it up.
hi dave great to see you again, and thanks for taking me fishing again, with you iits all ways interesting!
Dang it Dave, them blues putting u on a diet lol. Yeah, the damn thrives discuss me to the core. In OK. The made a major bust on warehouse full of cat. Converters, like 11 people jailed.
Thanks for the go along brother , Have a BLESSED DAY and Happy Holidays.
Great show Dave i watched everyone
I`ll turn loose fish. Them channels coming home with me. A cool and calm master catfish human being. I enjoyed the trip brother.
Thanks Dave for the great videos👏👍
More Tips, Tricks, and Bologna Sandwiches. I got more learnin'. Thanks for sharing. #graphitereelseats

12:34 Nice job checking in on the bank fisherman!
You done got your head on a swivel there catfishers Dave
I’d love to join you sometime. I recently got into fishing and I’ve had afew great days catfishing. But would love to get some knowledge from you and experience a day of fishing with an angler as knowledgeable as yourself in catfishing.
Someone needs to sit behind them. If they get out of their car with "tools" you get out of your rig with semi-auto tools. Seems fair to me.
If you prefer a shorter rod I recommend a penn baymaster, I have one setup for spin fishing with a quantum optix x 80 series spinning reel and I have yet to have something really bend that rod.
Another great video Dave nice fish
Does water temp affect your choice of dragging speed? How about currents? I’ve not tried your methods yet, but will be moving South some time in early 2024 and need to develop another skill set!
We got folks parking at ramps just like that. Sketchy stuff. Some are not just looking for converters and ill leave it at that...😑
Awesome catch Dave. I believe that certain poles holds the bait, when your trolling, in a way that makes it better for the fish to hit. That's why you catch more fish on certain poles than you do others. Does that make sense? Hook and reel. Take care, God Bless.
Dam I’m late, now it’s time to sit down, grab my Coca-Cola and watch a little Catfish Dave show
Coke is a Woke company.
Where do you get Berkeley e-cats rods from.
Who made those rod holders. They look good but I don't know if I can afford them.
That was some good fishing thanks
Some real B's a man can't fish and enjoy himself without metal chewing sticky fingered fellas.Take ya a big henry.

Those fish know when you eat when the fish are hungry to 😆 and nice fish to
Some people do wrong without fear of punishment. Would it help to film them and their rigs on the way in! I enjoy and learn from every video by the way.
Well.... Did you still have it ?
Hey man when did you become Channel cat Dave? 🤣✌️
They always know when you are eating LOL. No wind in this video!!😁
I would mount me some kind of camera in my grill to where they can't see it and try to park where they gotta come up from the front to catch them on camera.
Great video!!
How does your 2 out side bates stay out side and not eventually come in right behind the boat?
planer boards
Always be on the lookout for Pickle hunters and thieves. Unfortunately
Only makes sense. When you're hungry the fishes are hungry.
Spooking them? He’s throwing the whole bait shop down there … ain’t no spooking them.
Ramp rustlers? I geuss dry land has its bottom feeders too! Dagblasted hooligans.
Dope head gets my cats the joke will be on them, I hollowed my cats out years ago 😂
I may have missed it but what bait today?
Btw I’m 15 mintues from Sam Rayburn, 30 from from Toledo Bend, an hour from Lake Livingston in SETx.
Go out in the middle, near the ramp and suspend your baits, right there. That way, you can fish and watch the ramp at the same time. As soon as you see some clown nosing around your rig, call the local police or game wardens, to come get them.
👍👍👍👍🎣video
They are petty good eating
The thieves or the catfish? Lol ❤

Apparently they didn't steal your convertor! Good day!
Run a hot wire to the converter. Light 'em up.
Had my converter stole at the boat ramp. Ky Lake
Dagblasted guy keeps wooooing in my videos
My wife said that you getting that boat is the best thing that’s happened to you.
This is why I want an electric truck. When the thieves get under it they will scratch their heads wondering what is going on.
That electric truck will cost you more than those thieves in the long run. They already messed them up when emission systems god ridiculous
You should go up on the hill and video their vehicles and them. Tell them that you have video equipment installed in your truck that sends all video to a server so they can't bypass it.

Yay more catfish on the river
That's sad can't go have fun fishing without worrying about your vehicle

They can cut my cat off but they will be disappointed lol if you get what I mean. 😂
If I've said it more than once, I've said it at least twice... it's a good thing that Dave doesn't eat catfish. Just sayin'!
Why not take some Channel Cats home for dinner?
Choot em!
They have been working the boat ramp i use. So I put a couple of game cams in the woods looking at the parking lot of the ramp I use. Where I'm at they'll steal your trailer if it's not locked down.
@JR Porter yeah it sucks. Put up a game cam and get em. I have three up and they will never find them even if they look for them.
Good job.. Catch those theives .
If you had to put a number on how many bluecats do you think you caught In your life.
Apparently some Catfish Self Identify as "Bi-Directional"........LOL....a sign of the times.
Need to post your own sentry
Take photos of the people and their vehicles before you launch.
19.22 for tht cat u need bigger net lololol
