It was cool that you did a raw tour and showed us what it is really like. The Palace looked sweet and their Chinatown looked crazy busy. Lots to visit and see for sure
Well first of all thank you very much for making us aware of the possible scams that first time travelers may fall prey to, really appreciating you exposing this on your blog.
Thank you Jason for your video! Enjoyed your tour of Bangkok! The Grand Palace has so many beautiful details! Thank you for all the information you presented and all the sights you shared! Hope you are having good days and are enjoying yourself! Thumbs up!
I'm in Bangkok now for first time. Went to China Town the other day, and as soon as getting out of the subway, I was approached by one of the scammers also. I picked up on his spiel right away and got rid of him right quick. Hope to do the temples this week. Took a Thai cooking class today and it was awesome.
I'm an expat living here and you're doing great for 1st time Jason :) For a bit o' fun take a public boat ride along a klong (canal). Google Saen Saep Boat.
Headed to Bangkok for the first time next month and have the Grand Palace, reclining Buddha and Khao San Road on the list of things to do among others. Decent overview Jason.
A very nice video, to the point and succinct. Wish to visit Bangkok sometime. Your hints are very useful. Thanks for mentioning the scam. I have a question, is there a way of one off contribution to your travel fund. Has patreon got such an option. Regards
Which one is worth visiting, Grand Palace or Wat Pho ? When I was travelling in Bangkok a few months ago, I only visited Wat Pho and Wat Arun. I didn't go to Grand Palace (because it's too pricey for me).
Hi Jason, love your vlogs. Which area did you stay? Is it good to stay near khaosan road or is it noisy at night ? I'm travelling with my gf btw. Need your advice. Thanks.
Hi Jason , I have to say thank you for your very informative and enjoyable video. I would have a question: have you tried the massage at Wat Pho? Can you tell me some price please? Can not wait to go with my boyfriend this year March. Till then I'll watch all the UA-cam video about Thailand 😀😀
Hey there, Jason. Great video. Are you staying in the Ratchatewi area? Last January I started my 4 month journey through SE Asia near the corner you show at the begining. I stayed at Bed Station, great hostel. Leaving the rest of Thailand for some other time sounds like a good idea. Specially if you've already visited other SE Asian countries. I really miss Thai food so enjoy while you're there. Note: If you're still in Bangkok and you're interested in trying different kinds of Thai dishes keeping a small budget I recommend the Boat Noodle Restaurants near Victory Monument (they're kind of hidden in an alley next to a small river). You can get small bowls of soup or noodles for cents. I remember people piling those small bowls up like if they were competing against each other. I believe that if you end up ordering more than 12 bowls (or something like that) you get a free drink.
Hey, yes, I also stayed at Bed Station! Amazing hostel, I will he showing it in the next video. Glad you can see behind my reasoning to leave Thailand for another day. I need to change the scene up a bit from SE Asia for a while. Thanks for the heads up!
Hi Jason. 1.Those yellow signs above China Town are vegetarian festival sponsors. 2.China Town has a lot of Bib Gourmand from Michelin. 3.Above green curry in Khaosan is not egg,it's coconut milk cream.
Great video again Sir Jason!!! As for me, I also visited Grand Palace and Wat Pho along with Wat Traimit and Jim Thompson House...I was not able to visit Khao San Road and Chinatown due to hectic shed. I hope you can also watch my travel vlog + guide where I explore other places in BKK, Thai as well as enjoy their local foods/drinks. Thanks a lot!!!

Hi Jason! How are you doing? I hope you are enjoying your trip to Thailand. I’m writing this as a comment to what you said at minute 10:07. You didn’t want to compare Bangkok’s Chinatown with those from some other countries because of possible “bad comments that could be written below”. Since when you (or any other blogger for that matter) should be concerned about people’s positive or negative comments? Are you exercising some kind of self censure because what others may think? Let me tell you that that should be a NO-NO kind of situation. This is YOUR blog and as I see it you should be able to freely express yourself with no restrictions whatsoever. In fact, having the chance to listen to bloggers personal opinions should be of paramount importance for those of us that are subscribed to your page. Never mind if some comments may not be of your likening. If you believe Bangkok’s Chinatown to be the best in the world say it loudly without caring at all about what others opinions may be. And if you happen to think that it is the worst Chinatown in the world so be it. It would be YOUR opinion and you have the right to express it in the very same way others have the right to express their disagreements. But, like I said before, self censure is the worst way to go. Take care!
My Thai girlfriend told me that a small penis shouldn't matter in a relationship if we care deeply about each other. Still wish she didn't have one, though.
Stopped in the poshtel in Bangkok near that monument in the middle of the large roundabout. Had a lovely all inclusive massage one afternoon down some sol.
Fyi, there is a subway station near by Chinatown so you don't get stuck with the traffic jam. Normally my trick is getting taxi or bike taxi to drop you off the BTS or subway station and then hop on the train to the places. P.S. in 5-10 years, most of the Sky trains and subway project will be completed, so I hope the traffic issue will be a lot get better.

That was the Democracy Monument at 13:45 . Wonderful tour but KhaoSan Rd can be skipped unless you're a young westerner looking to party with other young westerners. The near by GoldenMountain is interesting if you get a chance to see that.
Come to my place Koh Kred :an island on the ChaoPhraya river. Just at the outskirt of BKK. A countryside in BKK, boating and or riding bike round the island, visiting pottery fabric. Very traditional.
I can never be bothered going to "Chinatown" because there's one in every city in the world. Here in Melbourne, in San Francisco, in Vancouver, in Singapore, etc, etc. They are more or less the same everywhere.
I can see where you’re coming from Craig, some are better than others. I would say Bangkok’s is certainly worth checking out at night though, I hope this video shows good evidence of that. Safe travels!
