Livingston Hampton You have to remember that SNL doesn't have the freedom that MADTV had. MADTV was all pre-taped, so they had the advantage of time to develop these skits until they were perfected and ready to film. SNL has ONE WEEK to come up with the ideas that reflect what is currently in the news as well as tailoring the skit to that's week's guest host. It's an insane deadline that keeps the writers up late hours and then factor in the dress rehearsal time they need for each skit. It's amazing they are able to do what they do at all! I admit to liking MADTV more, but it's totally unfair to compare the two shows.

Love mad tv, but, in living color was hilarious too!...have not liked saturday night live for over 30 year's!...snl hasn't been funny since all the best people left in the 80's!
