I’m glad I’m not the only one who had issues with the Ace Beaute palettes. I have given up filming looks with them because they just left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don’t wanna waste time with them. It’s such a shame because they are soooo beautiful.
Honestly the Flair palette is a better formula in my opinion then the other Ace beaute palettes were...I have both and the newer one feels like they reformulated and I love it soooo much
i love that you only purchase cruelty free/mink free brands! the worst is when i see a palette in a video that i love so much but then it turns out to not be cruelty free so then i can't get it lol

Oooohhh look at this collection!! 🤩😍 I don't have popcorn, but I have settled down with some pistachio butter on toast and a cup of coffee. ☕️🍞 The CR Queen of Hearts palette was good for it's time (released in 2016 if I remember correctly) and I don't mind it, but the Safari Raine palette is where it's at!! For me personally that palette and the original Vivid Pigments singles are the best eyeshadow/pigment releases they've ever had.
What a beautiful collection! 😍 I’ve been looking into more independent brands, less well-known because I feel there so much untapped talent out there that deserves more recognition. Really enjoyed seeing all your indie palettes, Amy! (I took an extra-long bath, so this was my bathtime entertainment.) 😂 🛀 That's scary about your Gemini palette, but I did a quick Google, and looks like other people have had the same problem with the exact same shades (Leo & the other greens surrounding it). I can't help but wonder if these kinds of problems are becoming more commonplace with the move to everything being paraben-free (of which there's no true science to support any danger). Personally, I'll take parabens over mold any day! 😱 Keep us posted about how they respond, as it looks like some other people got some lame excuse saying it wasn't mold, but oil (which can't be determined by looking at a photo,) but Melt did offer others replacement palettes or refunds. Hmmmm. 🤔
i'll take parabens over mold too lol, but a lot of makeup is made without parabens and yet doesn't grow stuff on itself after less than a year of use. melt needs to get it together.

Beauty bakery, Ace Beaute, Nomad, Persona, Alimar, Real her, Nomad Cosmetics are amazing brands that everybody should try. And they all have great customer service as well...
a tip for the ace beaute palettes- use an unset or lightly set base, put the darkest colour in your outer V first. the first colour adheres really well! but after that it gets a little tricky unless you layer down more eye primer

I wish I could come over to your house and sit and swatch & play with your shadows. Out of all the makeup on the market, eyeshadows are my weakness. My kids say, "mom you could open up a boutique with just your eyeshadows alone". Lol I declutter every spring and donate my shadows to women's domestic violence shelters. Normally we're not supposed to go directly to the shelters. (Were not allowed to know the address for the safety of the women).. However, my close friend has been running a local shelter for years and she allows me to come sit with the ladies and chat about makeup. You should see their faces when they open their package. Priceless and warms my soul. Love helping people. 💕 We need to hear your story of Bloody Mary. 🌚

But, I've heard so many people say they don't like it either, but did you hear about them improving their formula in their newest Nostalgia palette? I would love suggestions on cruelty free eye primer alternatives to replace MAC's Paint Pots. I'm still using mine up, bc they last forever. I bought ELF's dupe, but it's way too thin. I love the consistency of the Paint Pot. I've used up every other non cruelty free product, and boy do I miss Garnier's BB cream undereye rollerball. But I'm weakening on the primer. Haha

Hi Amy! I was wondering if you could let me know some of the best "mustardy" yellow singles you've tried? I love the shade "Shuffle" at 23:29 but I can't buy a whole palette because of that one shade XD
You don't need to roll the 'r' for when it's a simple one in the middle of two vowels or at the end of a syllable, there goes a flap instead. With the tip of your tongue, touch the alveolar ridge in a flap motion, and you'll have it.
I know it’s not a full on roll when it’s just one r in specific places but for example Reina has just a little to it which I think is what you’re describing. 😊
@@AmyLovesMakeup Reina actually starts with a rolled r, as if it was written with rr (it's just a convenient way to reduce letters when in every word starting with an r is going to be a rolled r). I was hoping to be able to describe the flapped r accurately so you could improve your spanish pronunciation (or any other language that has a flapped r that you might be interested in speaking).
Can someone compare the pinky rose peacock palette with the jeffree star alien palette pleaseee? They look. Very similar in colors but it's hard to tell on camera and I dont have any eye shadows from either brand.

My 27 arrived fine but now after like 6 months the shimmers break down:/
@@OksanaItkes I was gifted Twenty Seven . It was unused, but one of the shimmers was completely shattered. I hear that ppl are having a huge issue with Smoke Sessions. Shadows erupting out of the pans months later. We'll see how it goes with this new duochrome stack.
@@bekahnavarro I was refunded by melt for smoke obsessions. It exploded in my face with shimmer the moment I opened the palette

I know this is a super old video and idk if you will see this but I personally love Ace Beautes formula. But, I've heard so many people say they don't like it either, but did you hear about them improving their formula in their newest Nostalgia palette? I would love suggestions on cruelty free eye primer alternatives to replace MAC's Paint Pots. I'm still using mine up, bc they last forever. I bought ELF's dupe, but it's way too thin. I love the consistency of the Paint Pot. I've used up every other non cruelty free product, and boy do I miss Garnier's BB cream undereye rollerball. But I'm weakening on the primer. Haha

It depends on the week but I would say between 5-10. Sometimes I do my makeup twice a day. 😂

@@AmyLovesMakeup yes they were in a recent video and they had pretty patterns on them I think you might have wanted to re arrange your singles and I really want to get some so I can get some great durocromes like yours you have some that are spectacular I have a feeling they are big paletts with a lot of prints to choose from vvv greatful if you can remember Nik from Australia love love love you
I really want to try the Flair palette from Ace Beaute, but I know that their formulas are difficult to work with. Hopefully they change the formula in the future

I don’t know when it was uploaded but she did a video of her favorite yellow singles, in case you haven’t seen it.
You don't need to roll the 'r' for when it's a simple one in the middle of two vowels or at the end of a syllable, there goes a flap instead. With the tip of your tongue, touch the alveolar ridge in a flap motion, and you'll have it.
I know it’s not a full on roll when it’s just one r in specific places but for example Reina has just a little to it which I think is what you’re describing. 😊
@@AmyLovesMakeup Reina actually starts with a rolled r, as if it was written with rr (it's just a convenient way to reduce letters when in every word starting with an r is going to be a rolled r). I was hoping to be able to describe the flapped r accurately so you could improve your spanish pronunciation (or any other language that has a flapped r that you might be interested in speaking).

Can someone compare the pinky rose peacock palette with the jeffree star alien palette pleaseee? They look. Very similar in colors but it's hard to tell on camera and I dont have any eye shadows from either brand.
