Great review, especially the part about highlighting the flaking issues. I was the the first person on YT to restore it from a totally ruined state and the vid is on my channel.
This is the one Batman I own and it is magnificent, thank you for this retrospective!!! Thankfully I have not experienced the yellowing or stickiness damage you and and have mentioned, those issues likely are due to humidity in some respects unfortunately. But despite those issues, your figure still looks awesome
So far, so good at least for now. The seller I bought it from had it stored in a shelf for a long time. I don't know if being in Canada (where most of the time is cold) does help but the figure is still in really good condition.
Also there is a way you can seal the suit so it no longer flakes anymore than it already has. Angelus finisher. There are videos out there on how to do it. I believe this figure is perfect for that solution. It's not so far gone that the fig is ruined, more of a battle damaged situation
Awesome & congrats. Just picked up the Knightmare combo pack for a song. I still love armored Batman. My favorite is the DX19 without a doubt. Here's hoping The Batman turns out amazing as well. 🎅 🎁 🎄
The problem with this purchase being mib is where the seller had it stored. Never buy older figures like this mib. I learned the hard way too. Battle damage t1 terminator. His jacket decentigrated upon opening. So when it comes to older figs I'll only purchase used ones that was taken care of.

Waiting is definitely the safe move although I honestly doubt this will ever be reissued. If you live in a colder/ cooler part of the world there's a chance the problems won't be as severe with the costume just make sure to inquire about the suit's condition if you are thinking of getting it!

Thanks for the advice! I've also actually heard that some figures can deteriorate FASTER if left mib for years. I guess this figure was one of those 😭
