In the late 80s, my father ran a little lángos-baker business in Hungary. (Lángossütö kisiparos) During a trip we made friends with a family in Transylvania. They lived in a small village, very poor. The shops were empty, lacking basic things for daily use. One weekend when we visited them, my father started baking lángos in the garden. From morning till night he baked hundreds of lángos, for the whole village, he made everyone full. It was already late in the night when the flour ran out, and my father hadn't eaten anything all day. One of my favorite childhood memories :)
I think the best part of the video is the lángos! Sorin ask the hungarian guy to roll up the lángos bread to a frankfurter (virsli) before bake it in oil. That's even better!

The tomato: most of Europe gets "water balls" (wasser ballen) grown in glass houses and fed water with added chemicals. That is why they are tasteless.. Any tomato grown naturally tastes like a real tomato. I plant my own in the garden.
also the soils of the UK are dead. Where there should be hundreds of minerals and bacteria there are just a few. Only enough to grow the current crop according to what makes it look good, regardless of nutritional value. It would take years and millions and millions to re-mineralise and repopulate our farming soils :(
True, about the tomatoes, in the 80's a Serb neighbour was buying seeds in the Netherlands in order to sell them in Serbia for a lot of money. All you can find in Serbia are those kind of tomatoes, waterfilled and no taste at all. When I was a child and my grandfather bought tomatoes the local ones in Serbia they were sweet and the smell of them in the house was so delicious. I still can scent them. I live in the Netherlands and tomatoes are tasteless, in order for a vegetable ,fruit to have taste it needs good nutricous ground, enough sunlight . When I go buy groceries in any supermarket in the Netherland food has no taste, you could eat a cardboard same . I tried to plant tomatoes, but with me anything dies, have not the green touch I guess even canabis would die on me.
Goulash is also very tasty, paprikasz or whatever you call it, love that too, also smoked sausages with pepper wonderful. Hungarian people not that nice, awful actually, I landed on Ferenc List Airport and nobody spoke any foreign language , very rude people sorry.
