rewatching this a year later and this was AMAZING. these girls were not just good vocalists and dancers but also had good stage presence and its v weird that they were called out for their expressions bc their expressions fit the concept of the song very well? I'm pretty sure the judges had a personal grudge against them
F disappointed on how these specific team was highly bashed and insulted. Also, separating 'em and focusing on discouraging 'em for this performance was a clear proof to me their industry isn't down for talent. They want s3xual content they can pass on as "cutesy flirty" but we all know what those booty skirts on teenagers girls do to their market. People in power want to make money through s3x and s3xual degradation of women and children. They don't gaf if you sing or dance, if you're young and give m3n a b0ner for showing your shoulders, you become a popular idol. F disgusting girls are gaslighted into it and called ugly for doing the job the way Red Moom did here 💔💔
This whole season lowkey made me lose my love for Sunmi 😭 I felt like everytime she opened her mouth she had a 50% chance of making a judgement that I HEAVILY disagreed with because it was at best a mistake/poor judgement and at worst intentional sabotage. It was really disappointing to see because she was also saying she was a victim of evil editing which is probably true but her decisions still came to be 😭 like you mightve been evil edited but that doesn't change the consequences.
It's because the stage wasn't cohesive. You're looking at 9 soloists sharing a stage together instead of a group performance. If you watch each individual, they're fantastic - there's no denying that they're fantastic vocalists here and they nailed the choreography - but together as a group, they lack a good combined dynamic. I'd say the judges got an even better sense of it by being there and being able to see it in real time without changing camera angles and such.
I say that as someone who's main picks were in this team, and yet watching Pretty U was much more enjoyable and an overall great team performance.

@@fariyasab - To be honest, I think they were told to tone it down because the others couldn't keep up. If you look at the Youth With You 2 performance of the Eve, even the softer voices still have attitude. Many of the trainees in this performance sound too "pretty" compared to how the song is best performed.
I agree with the judges, they'll nailed it also without facial expressions but only with their charisma... that was a bit too much sometimes in my opinion
they are right tho. This song is meant to be sensual, not aggresive

@@haracumi8160 thanks to dayeon yessss, because people were mad at her last week on youtube, and I hope everyone saw the entire episode to see how Dayeon was right to speak out even if it was difficult for her (I agree she should've said it before, but apparently the others too were "afraid" -sorry I don't know the correct word, but "hesitating to say out loud"- that they wanted their parts to be different.

Is anyone gonna talk about Ruiqi? She fits so much as a center and her dancing specially her jump at the last chorus really gave me goosebumps. If she doesn't debut then it's a big loss in terms of talents and sales.

個人的に2:37ひかるちゃんがセンターに来た時の画面の締まり具合がすごくいいと思いました。
下から腕を突き上げて来た時、そのパワーが周りに伝わって、放射状に放たれたみたい。
ちょうどそういう振り付けだったのもあるけど、バネがあって、ラインを生かせているからできるんだろうと思う。
あと、体がちいさいのも武器のひとつになるのかもなとも思える場面でした。
ひかるちゃんとセンターのルイチーがかっこよすぎる。2人とも曲を上手く消化してるなあー

@@1233-f7h Dayeon didn’t force reselection. The mentors asked if they got the parts they wanted, and Dayeon voiced her opinions out. Yaning later asked who in the team wants to change parts and ALL OF THEM except for Yaning and Ruiqi raised their hands. Ruiqi then raised her hand too saying that she’s okay with changing parts. If 7/9 members didn’t raise their hands, they wouldn’t have changed the initial parts. 7/9 wanted to change parts yet Dayeon was the only one who spoke up about it and yall are blaming her for speaking up for 6 other members.
I love how Suyeon made her small part count. Her visuals, stage presence and vocals are satisfying.
honestly that’s one of my fav parts of the whole performance like- she did absolutely amazingly.

@@lunaxzo2431 but this is such a bs reasoning - if one team is improved from like "90 to 95", then of course it is not as big as someone who went like "60 to 85". But the latter does not make the performance betteer than the former... judges are clearly biased against "The Eve" team.

@@lunaxzo2431 another reason the judges were too hype from pretty u performance, pretty u is a hype song, so it is more fun to watch it. While the eve did better vocally, dance, the judges were probably comparing on how pretty u hype them up. Honestly, it is the risk of performing three different songs. If they were performing the same song, the result would probably different since the judges still needs to pick the best performance

i dont think this performance was bad, but it was lacking something, i dont know if its teamwork or if the girls on the team didnt have chemistry or if the vibe of the eve doesnt suit them or if they were trying too hard, but something feels off (something that didnt happen with the pretty u team, they actually feel like a group) prolly because i had pretty big expectatives after youth with you's the eve performance, and this team's performance wasnt as good as i thought it would be🤔also dont think their feedback was that bad, they did good but not as expected and there were things to work on, just like in the other teams.
anyways, ruiqi(tho i dont support her) suyeon, shana and dayeon did a good job for this, also the girl at 1:32, 2:08 and 2:22 whose name i lamentably still dont know (her name is jiyoon and she was the best of the performance idc!!!)

I'm being completely unbiased here. I personally think The Eve team was one of the best teams!! Literally, EVERY SINGLE MEMBER did such an amazing job and my girl SU Ruiqi did a PHENOMENAL job as center!!! She was made for this song!!!
