In ASTM 1202 it is said fill the voids in sample with CaOH

As per ASTM C1202, soaking should be done for 18hours
how about of using column size of 150x300 mm^2 ?
Sir you have to core cut the sample for testing from your specimen (column)
why should we prepare sample in vacuum desigator??
Vaccum desigator is used to remove air voids without any additional agents

what if we do the test without vacuuming it
