Jazz like this it's like an adventure. Slow steps to a steady pace and complete immersion. And then you find yourself wanting to stay in the journey before reaching the destination.
This is golden. It's one thing to hear a recording, but it's an entirely different thing to see how it's actually done. I'm sure that someone else has done that left hand tambourine groove, but it's a new one to me. It actually looks like one of those hi-hat tambourines, but played by hand!
It is like a wonderfull painting (unfinished painting with many possible outcomes, a Story of the mankind as individuell but also kollektiv) great colors/ figural, sureal, abstract, expressionismus... You guys rock the 1969!!! Thank you so much for creating and sharing
7 minutes in and this piece hasn't particularly grabbed and carried me the way the others from this show do no complaint tho'. I'm thoroughly enjoying the jazz adventure of waiting to see if it comes together and takes off jazz at its best is a trip to what's next ... and the suspense can be as delicious whether it rises and flies or just spends 10 minutes poking around in search of the escalator. I could listen to this ensemble "just poking around" with "no particular place to go" for hours.

And this was just an impromptu thing: neither Eddie Harris nor Benny Bailey were part of Les McCann's trio.

BANG!
Modal jam, pre-empting a Weather Report vibe.
