Well, so much for a Tim Hortons sponsorship... lol. Today is build month 1 btw... Incase it suck up on you. Can't wait for the next vid!
Nice! We have the same T-Vent windows in our van in the same spots. We opted to have the dealer install them since it didn't really cost us extra when we purchased the vehicle through a dealership that also had an upfitting service.. We love how they make the van seem so much more open.
Thats awesome! yeah having the dealer istall them is probably easier but its for sure something you can take on yourself. I think when I bought my van to have it with rear windows was only an addiotnal $200 or something crazy like that.
thanks for the Email and great info with the fabric trim. I think I will give it a try.
Nice job Scott. Learning a lot from you which gives us confidence for future mods. Always enjoy the dark smoky effect on your videos and photos. Would you be willing to share how you gain that effect? Looking forward to more :)
Hey thanks for watching! I edit my photos in lightroom and video with premiere pro....the foggy look is mainly acheived with the lighting I use if you shoot me an email I can give you more info.
Do magnetic window covers work thru the duramax liner?
Scott, Was the area around the window uncoated with the lizard skin? Was it the original painted surface so the adhesive and duramax would adhere?
What did you paint the interior walls with?looks like a line x texture.
hey scott -- why dont you use apostophes? (your dad looks like a great guy, btw.) ... i also really appreciate your humility. and articulation of details.
Thanks Anne! Ill work on my puncuation for you ;) and yes my Dads awesome. Glad you are enjoying the videos and Ill do my best to keep them coming
After I had tightened my screws I could not get the window flush with the side of the van. I am worried that tightening them any more would lead to stripping.
Did you find that your window is not quite flush with the van wall?
On the outside its not designed to go flush its probably about a finger width from flush.
@@scottadamson6116 by flush, I mean that looking down the side of the van, the window sticks out from the van. In your video, the window doesn’t look like it sticks out from the van wall.
Hi, please disregard my comment on your previous video asking for more detail. I obviously got ahead of myself, doh!
I may never build a van myself, but i cant thank you enough for sharing your knowledge in this build process. Watching your videos is such a therapy for my brain. Thanks Scott
Thats awesome thank you for checking them out!
