The owner, Ms Jennifer Landry-Goff is from Baton Rouge, LA and she KNOWS how to cook REAL CAJUN food. Each year she has live crawfish flown in from Louisiana and you won't find it any better prepared than in her restaurant. Her daughter has a restaurant in Tulsa, OK as well. Thanks for sharing this adventure.
Did you even read my statement? I never questioned that they were in LA. I suggested an authentic Cajun restaurant for WHEN THEY ARE IN THE PHOENIX, AZ AREA.
All I could think about this is all the bugs they must have encountered. The South has lots of bugs but Louisiana has some crazy ass bugs. Flying bugs that look like pterodactyls.
I came to the comments for this argument, and I'm shocked nobody is talking about it. The seasoning is boiled into the crawfish. If you add extra seasoning to the outside, you're drastically increasing your sodium intake; but the main part is your boiling recipe is too bland.
Restaurants do because you cannot get consistency with seasonings in the boil- boiling 100’s of pounds a day. You would have to pour out the water with every load and that’s not efficient.
Plus we still add it on the outside even after boiling with seasonings because we like it hottt! Fun fact- these are my cousins that I grew up next door to in the video. They are actually from the big village of Estherwood! ❤️
